The theft of a wallet from a parked vehicle in Lower Towamensing Township is being investigated by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

Police said Chad Michael Dottery, 36, of 3010 Fireline Road, is the victim of the incident that happened between 7 p.m. July 27 and 3:30 p.m. July 28.

A driver making a U-turn on a Schuylkill County road caused a crash. The accident occurred about 2:38 p.m. on Monday, July 30, along SR61 in Blythe Township, just south of the Schuylkill Mall exit ramp.

State police at Frackville said Debra A. Depew, 56, of Waverly, N.Y., operating a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan, was southbound and realized she had taken a wrong turn. She pulled onto the west berm and then attempted to make an illegal U-turn to go north in the southbound only lanes.

Two area men were charged with multiple offenses after police learned they were operating an illegal meth lab.

According to Summit Hill police, on April 11, at 5:30 p.m., officers received a call from the Coaldale police to report that they discovered a meth lab in their borough.

Coaldale officers reported that the individuals operating the lab, Vincent Keller, 27, of 222 White St., Lehighton; and Ricky Burns, 19, of 40 E. Ridge St., Lansford, took materials from the meth lab in Coaldale and dumped it in Summit Hill.

A Schuylkill County man was charged with harassment following an apparent domestic dispute. State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred at 18 Cardinal Road, in Pine Grove Township, about 6:50 p.m. on Monday, July 30.

Troopers said Paul B. Shearer, 38, and Erin B. Larson, 41, both of that address, became involved in a verbal argument that turned physical.

During the argument Larson alleged that Shearer pushed her in the chest with his chest and then pooked her in the eye with a cigarette. Troopers said there were no visible signs of bodily injury on Larson.

A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Monday, July 30, following a domestic assault incident.

State police at Frackville were called to 249 W. Preston Ave., Girardville, about 9 p.m. for a report of a domestic dispute.

On scene the victim, a 24-year-old female whose name was not released, claimed her husband, James Rooney, 26, had subjected her to physical contact and during the course of the dispute, she claimed a firearm was involved. Troopers noted she showed no signs of injuries.

A Carbon County resident is facing drug charges following an incident that occurred last year.

Nesquehoning Police Chief Sean Smith said Dante Matos, 24, of 123 W. Railroad St., Nesquehoning, has been charged with possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, possession (three counts), and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested on aor about June 28.

Several individuals are facing drug charges following two separate incidents at the a firemens carnival being held in Mount Pocono last week.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 9:18 p.m. on July 24 officers observed a suspicious activity in the parking lot of the carnival. Officers observed four individuals inside a vehicle and made contact with them after they exited the vehicle. After speaking with the occupants officers returned to the suspect vehicle and observed a large amount of drug paraphernalia and narcotics inside the vehicle.

A St. Clair man is facing charges in Rush Township following a traffic stop last Thursday.

Keith Lash II, 29, was stopped along State Road at 9:27 p.m. for suspected traffic violations. Due to his actions, officers suspected he was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance. He was transported to a Pottsville Hospital for blood tests.

Charges are pending the results of the blood test.

A Carbon County man is facing a charge of firearms not to be carried without a license.

Nesquehoning Police Chief Sean Smith said Robert John Semko, 47, of 261 E. Railroad St., Nesquehoning, is facing the charge following an incident that occurred about 11:58 a.m. on June 23.

Smith said at the time stated he and Officer Chad McGowan responded to a report of a male behind the Panther Creek Co-Generation Plant off Dennison Road, intoxicated, armed and suicidal driving a Jeep Cherokee.

A Summit Hill man was arrested after police conducted a traffic stop and learned there were warrants out for his arrest.

According to Summit Hill police, on June 30, at 10:05 p.m., police were conducting a traffic patrol when they stopped a vehicle for a lighting violation.

An investigation revealed that the driver, Ian Thrasher, 35 of 42 E. Ludlow St., Apt. 3, had warrants out on him in Michigan and Florida. He was taken into custody. It was later discovered that Thrasher also had drug paraphernalia and some controlled substance in his possession.
