State police at Frackville reported investigating a three vehicle crash in Schuylkill County on Wednesday, March 27. The accident occurred about 11:31 a.m. at the intersection of state routes 895 and 443, in East Brunswick Township.

Troopers said James A. Hiller, 68, of Trout Run, Lycoming County, was eastbound on 895 and attempted to make a left turn onto 443. He failed to observe a vehicle operated by Susan A. Marcero, 65, of Hazleton, who was westbound on 895 and approaching the intersection. Marcero's 1997 Ford Windstar struck Hiller's 2010 Ford Fusion.

A Lehigh County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI), following an incident in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said Christopher Rivera, 18, of Allentown, was stopped along SR248 eastbound, east of State Road, in Franklin Township, about 2 a.m. on March 21 for a vehicle code violation.

He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI, troopers said.

A Tamaqua man has been charged following an incident in the borough on March 23.

Police were dispatched to the area of Orwigsburg and Bowe streets at 1:40 a.m. for a report of damage caused to vehicles.

Patrolman Karl Harig is the investigating officer. He determined that Jason Hill, 21, of Railroad St., had removed a cinderblock and brick from a property at 114 Orwigsburg St., then used the objects to damage the windshields and bodies of two parked vehicles. The vehicles are owned by John Sienkiewicz, of Bowe St.

Nesquehoning police Officer Timothy Wuttke issued the following citations:

On March 23, a driver was cited in the 300 block of East Catawissa Street for illegal tint on windows, and a driver going 71 miles-per-hour in a 55 zone on SR93. On March 25, speeding tickets to a driver going 64 mph in a 40 zone on SR54 and one to a driver going 85 mph in a 55 zone on SR93.

A Lehigh County man was jailed on Tuesday, March 27, after being arrested and charged with various counts of sexual assault.

State police at Fogelsville said Joshua Winston James, 22, of Wescosville, was arraigned on one count each of rape, sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault, indecent assault and harassment. He was unable to post $100,000 bail and was remanded to the county prison.

The Allentown enforcement office of the state liquor control board cited four persons for underage drinking last Saturday, March 24, at the annual St. Patrick's Day parade in the Schuylkill County borough of Girardville.

Cited were Kasey E. Williams, 20, of Coal Township; Ahnnalisa Regi, 19, of Columbus, N.J.; Samantha L. Warden, 20, of Elored, N.J.; and Jocelyne R. Bell, 20, of Reading.

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a theft and several acts of criminal mischief.

The theft occurred at Rick's Truck & Auto Center, located in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

Unknown criminals removed several metal 20 by 20 grates and metal sewer lids from outside the building. The scrap metal is valued at $300. The theft occurred sometime overnight of March 20-21. Richard Balliet, 57, of Palmerton, is the listed victim.

The following mischief incidents have been reported.

A Slatington woman is facing charges following a domestic incident that occurred in the borough.

Police said about 4:33 p.m. on Monday, March 26, they responded to 426 W. Franklin St., for a domestic incident.

As a result of an investigation police charged Jackie Sugat, 38, of that address, with simple assault and harassment.

A Schuylkill County man was cited following a domestic incident. State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred at the Tremont Train Station apartments, at 51 N. Crescent St., in Tremont, about 11:52 a.m. on March 15.

State police at Frackville reported on four underage drinking arrests made on Saturday, March 24, all in the same general area.

Derreck J. Ahapow, 19, of Frackville, was cited about 6:46 p.m. in thea area of Ogden and Pine sts., in Girardville.

John M. Adams, 19, of Ashland, Nathan L. Quinn, 20, of Ringtown, and Korban J. Trautman, 18, of Girardville, were cited about 7 p.m. along SR4030, near Duck St., in Butler Township, near Girardville.

All were issued citations to appear before a district judge.
