A Lansford woman has been charged for bringing controlled substances into the county prison in Nesquehoning.
Nesquehoning police charged Shari Frances Jones, 45, of 446 E. Patterson St., Apt. B, with possession of a controlled substance, contraband by an inmate, and two counts of prohibited acts, penalties, in possession of a controlled substance or paraphernalia.
On Jan. 30 Officer Dana O'Brien was called to the county jail by deputy warden Timothy Fritz for an inmate found to have drugs in her cell. Jones was in the jail doing a weekend sentence.
