Two Monroe County residents have been charged with hindering police.

State police at Fern Ridge said on Monday, April 23, about 9:15 a.m. they went to 6820 Beech Lane, in Jackson Township, for a wanted person at the residence.

Upon arrival Robert Graham, 37, and Jeffrey Grefe, 44, both of Saylorsburg, stated the wanted person was not there. However, the wanted person was found in the home and taken into custody.

Two persons are being sought in connection with a road rage incident in which a person was assaulted. State police at Fern Ridge said the incident occurred along Lakeside Drive, in Sun Valley, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, about 2 p.m. on Monday, April 23.

Troopers said a 24-year-old female from Albrightsville reported following a verbal argument two females assaulted her at the above location following a road rage incident. The victim received several scratches, bruises and cuts in the incident.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of fuel incident.

Troopers said about 20 gallons of diesel fuel was removed from a 2011 Ford truck that was parked in a dirt parking area on the southeast corner of state routes 183 and 443 in Wayne Township, Schuylkill County. The theft occurred sometime between 5 p.m. on Friday, April 20, and 6:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The truck is owned by Penn Line Services, of Scottdale, Westmoreland County.

A Tamaqua driver was cited after being involved in a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 3:40 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, along Keystone Boulevard, in Cass Township.

State police at Frackville said Jane M. Sunday, 50, was operating a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer northbound when she said a cat ran out in front of her. She swerved to the left and lost control.

The Trailblazer slid across both lanes, collided with the concrete curb, then went onto the berm and climbed a dirt embankment.

Lehighton police reported on the following arrests made by officers.

John S. Ligenza Jr., 47, of 158 W. Broadway St., Jim Thorpe, was cited for harassment following an altercation which resulted in physical contact with another individual at the Lehighton hospital. The incident occurred about 3:40 p.m. on Friday, March 16, police said.

A Schuylkill County man is facing more charges in connection with the sexual assault of a young girl.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Christopher Romberger, 26, of Tower City, was arrested at the county prison in Pottsville on Friday, April 20, and arraigned by District Judge Carol Pankake, of Tremont.

A Tamaqua woman faces charges after an officer observed her driving a green Kia on April 9 despite the fact her driver's license is suspended.

Officer Matt Houser was on patrol at 4:30 p.m. in the area of West Union and Lincoln streets when he saw Kimberly Keach, 35, of 256 Brown St., driving on West Union Street. The officer prepared to make a vehicle stop and observed Keach park the car and enter a fenced yard at 304 Lincoln St.

She was apprehended and will be charged with driving with a suspended license and criminal trespass.

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers recently on Schuylkill County roadways.

Troopers investigated a hit and run accident reported to have occurred sometime between 10 p.m. Friday, April 20, and 4:15 a.m. on Saturday.

Troopers said an unknown vehicle was traveling northbound on Spring St., in Tremont, when it crossed the double yellow line and struck a parked 2007 Toyota Camry on the passenger side. After impact the driver fled the scene.

The parked car is owned by Eugene P. Kessock Jr., 45, of Tremont.

A Tamaqua man faces charges following a report of suspected drug activity in the area of the South Ward Playground.

Dennis Yeater, 24, of 307 Race St., will be charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after the April 14 incident. Yeater had been sitting in a parked car in the area of Oak and Race sts. at the time he was taken into custody.

A vehicle hit railing and a stone wall at the Carbon County courthouse in Jim Thorpe on Monday.

Borough Police Chief Joseph Schatz said the accident occurred about 7:58 a.m. at Hazard Square.

Schatz said Patrick Siefo, 58, of Nesquehoning, was driving a 2002 Dodge Caravan, and was on the square and stopped for a vehicle backing out of a parking space across from the courthouse. His vehicle was struck in the rear by a 2012 Volkeswagen, driven by Sarah Bonner, 22, also of Nesquehoning.
