Erin Rossiello, 33, of Cresco, has been arrested on drunk driving charges by Pocono Mountaiun Regional Police.

Police said she was driving a vehicle that was stopped for a Motor Vehicle Code violation, after which time police detected an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. After failing field sobriety tests, she was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood-alcohol test.

The incident happened on June 23 on Rt. 611 in Mt. Pocono.

Jowil Charles, 18, of Salt Lake City, Utah, was arrested by Pocono Mountain Regional Police on June 27 for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said he was a passenger in a vehicle they stopped in Tobyhanna Township. After detecting an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle, police conducted a search in which the drugs and related contraband were found to be in Charles' possession.

Two sisters from Brooklyn, N.Y., who police said were involved in a fight at the Garden Inn Motel, Mt. Pocono, were cited by Pocono Mountain Regional Polilce.

The incident happened at 1:10 a.m. June 28.

Police said they were dispatched when it was believed a female was being assaulted in a motel room. They learned that sisters Kelly M. Harrison, 22, and Veronica Harrison, 18, were both intoxicated and had gotten into a physical altercation.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said a 20-year-old Brodheadsville man who tried to purchase liquor by using his brother's Pa. driver's license has been cited for underaged attempt to purchase alcohol.

The incident happened at 6 p.m. June 30 at the State Wine and Spirits Shop, Chestnuthill Township.

Police said Mersim Sabovic attempted to buy two bottles of alcohol by misusing his brother's license.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said an Emmaus man was injured when a tractor ran over his leg during an incident at 8:07 p.m. June 28 in Upper Milford Township.

The victim is William Billger, 48. Police said he was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital in the Emmaus Ambulance after suffering a possible broken leg.

Police said he was operating the controls of a smaller-size tractor with a front end loader while standing near the tractor when one of the rear wheels of the tractor ran over his leg.

A Kunkletown woman has been charged with DUI after allegedly driving while under the influence of bath salts.

Shirley Tegethoff, 46, was cited at 11 a.m. on June 30 while driving on 57 Road in Lower Towamensing Township.

Trooper Daniel R. Nilon of the Lehighton barracks of the state police, the arresting officer, states in his incident report that the barracks received several calls about a female driving in a dangerous and erratic manner in the area of 57 Road.

State police at Lehighton barracks are investigating the theft of a cellular telephone from a minor.

The incident happened on June 30 between 10 and 1:30 p.m. in the male locker room near the Palmerton Area High School football stadium.

Police said the phone was a Blackberry Torch and has a value of $500. Also stolen was a duffle bag. Anyone with information is asked to call State Police at Lehighton barracks at (610) 377-4270.

Matthew Gallagher, 18, of East Stroudsburg, was arrested by Pocono Mountain Regional Police on several charges after police observed him and a 17-year-old Bartonsville boy in a vehicle at 12:46 a.m. June 29 at the Oak Street baseball fields in Mount Pocono.

Gallagher is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

A pickup truck that was reported stolen in Walnutport, was found in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said the 2005 Dodge Ram truck was found along West Bowmans Road near Dieters Hill Road, in East Penn Township, about 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 26.

Six persons were arrested by Lehighton police following three separate incidents that happened in the borough.

Police said Krystina M. Hawk, 26, of 502 Gypsy Hill, Apt. 502, and Michael B. Fisher, 24, of 362 Oak Dr., both of Lehighton, were charged with disorderly conduct after a verbal altercation on Monday, May 2, in the public parking lot in the vicinity of 80 E. Bridge St.

A 16-year-old female from Lehighton was cited for harassment after an incident on Saturday, June 18. Police said she allegedly left threatening messages on a victim's voice mailbox.
