The theft of copper wiring is being probed.

State police at Lehighton said about 100 feet of copper wiring, along with several electrical extension cords were removed from a contracting site at 2115 Little Gap Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said the victims are two contracting companies, but did not identify them by name.

A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Palmerton's Magyar Szovetkezet, trading as the Hungarian Club, 317 Lehigh Ave., Palmerton, has been cited for posssessed or operated gambling devices or paraphernalia or permitted gambling or lotteries, poolselling and/or bookmaking on the licensed premises. The alleged violation occurred on June 13.

A Northampton County woman was jailed on multiple charges following an incident that occurred in Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said about 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 9, Maria Ruth Haddock, 42, of Bethlehem, arrived at the residence of her estranged husband at 7334 Golden Eagle Driver, Ross Township, in an intoxicated state. She began a verbal and physical argument with her husband and threw a picture frame at her son, troopers allege.

A Luzerne County driver was killed in a one-vehicle crash in Monroe County on Thursday, Nov. 11. Pocono Mountain Regional police said the crash occurred along SR940 at Locust Ridge Road, in Tobyhanna Township.

Police said Ryan Rodenbaugh, 32, of Wilkes-Barre, was operating a 1993 Buick LaCross when it left the road about 5:36 a.m. while westbound and impacted with a tree.

Rodenbaugh was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the crash is continuing, police said.

Mahoning Township police reported the arrest of a woman for retail theft.

On Wednesday, Nov. 10, officers were called to the Wal-mart store at about 4:23 p.m. for a report of a female in custody for theft.

Police said Amanda L. Logenbach, 23, of the 200 block of Fairview St., Franklin Township, allegedly attempted to take $57.66 worth of merchandise from the store without paying for it. At the time she had her two children with her, ages 1 and 2. The children was turned over to a male companion with her.

A Long Pond man faces drug charges after Pocono Mountain Regional police were called to a Tobyhanna house at 8 p.m. Nov. 6 on a domestic incident.

Geraldo Rodriguez, 24, was arrested after police came to the house at 3010 Northampton Rd. The victim said Rodriguez repeatedly called her and told her he would come to her house and kill her. The victim reported he may be carrying a firearm.

A boat motor was found and the owner is being sought.

State police at Lehighton said a 1978 Mercury 700 boat motor, black in color, was found at the top of Buchman Rd., in Ross Township, on Wedneday, Nov. 10, about 11 a.m. Troopers believe the motor was stolen but do not know when or how long ago, possibly several years.

Any person having information about the possible owner of the motor, or having a motor stolen similar to it, is asked to call troopers at (610) 377-4270.

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a burglary in which a Monroe County residence was entered and the criminals took a washer, dryer, kitchen cabinets and the kitchen stove.

The burglary occurred at 6380 Five Springs Road in Jackson Township. A 40-year-old female from Stroudsburg is the listed victim, according to troopers, who declined to give her name. Entry was gained by smashing the bathroom window.

The break-in occurred sometime between Nov. 7 and Thursday, Nov. 11.

A Monroe County man has been charged with violating the state's wire tap act.

Pocono Mountain Regional police executed a search warrant on Wednesday, Nov. 10, about 5 p.m. at the residence of Joseph O'Lall, at 7030 White Tail Lane, Emerald Lakes development, Blakeslee, Tunkhannock Township.

O'Lall was arrested for multiple violations of the wire tap act, police said. He was arraigned before duty District Judge Anthony D. Fluegel, of Tobyhanna, and released on $5,000 ROR bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 18 before DJ Richard S. Claypool, of Pocono Pines.

State police at Lehighton reported on three crashes investigated by troopers in recent days.

A one vehicle crash occurred about 6:26 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 8, along SR115 in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers said Kevin J. Martin, 35, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck southbound when he struck a deer that had entered the road. Martin was not injured but damages were disabling to the truck.
