A Carbon County man was cited following an incident that occurred at 142 E. Bowmans Rd., in Lehighton.

State police at Lehighton said Timothy Eckhart, 23, of Lehighton, is accused of taking the cellular phone of Nicole Warner, 22, of Lehighton, and smashing it on the ground. The incident occurred about noon on Oct. 26.

Eckhart was issued two citations, one for criminal mischief and the other for disorderly conduct, troopers said.

An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) was reported stolen in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Arthur Heffner, 35, of 215 E. Second Mountain Rd., Pottsville, North Manheim Township, reported his 2004 Yamaha YFZ450 was stolen from the driveway of his home sometime between 5 and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26. The ATV is white and red in color.

A Monroe County woman is facing a charge of theft and receiving stolen property following an incident at a county nursing home.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers were called to the Mountain Health Care facility in Mt. Pocono about 9 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28, to a report of a theft of money from an employee.

As the result of an investigation Stephanie Biroc, 28, of Tobyhanna, admitted her involvement in the theft, police said, and was charged with the two criminal counts.

A Summit Hill driver was injured in a rear-end crash in Rush Township.

Township police said Catherine A. O'Donnell, 37, was driving a 1993 Subaru on SR309 about 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, when she ran into the back of a Kenworth tractor-trailer rig at the intersection with SR54 (Hometown intersection).

The rig was stopped for a red traffic signal, police said.

O'Donnell was flown by helicopter to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for facial and other injuries, police said. Police did not identify the driver of the rig.

A Lansford man was jailed for retail theft following an incident in Nesquehoning.

On Oct. 20 about 8:35 p.m. Officer Carl Briener was dispatched to Redners Warehouse Market for a theft report. On scene Briener placed the suspect, Richard E. Ergie, of 522 E. Patterson St., in custody for theft. Erige is accused of stealing a roll of tape and Unisom pills totaling $10.04 in value.

State police at Frackville are investigating a theft incident at a milling site in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said unknown criminals backed a pickup trucks up the milling equipment, shined lights from the bed of the trucks onto the equipment and removed various items. The site is located along Pine Valley Road at Sprcue St., in East Brunswick Township.

An Andreas man has been cited by Tamaqua police after he was found sleeping on a porch Wednesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to 230 Mauch Chunk St. at 3 a.m. where they found Justin Lawlor, 29, of 848 Lizard Creek Rd., asleep on the porch. Lawlor appeared to be in a highly intoxicated state. He was transported to the police station and cited for public drunkenness.

A hit and run driver is being sought in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said a driver was turning left from Greenview Road to go north on SR61 in North Manheim Township, about 5:26 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26. For unknown reasons the driver traveled off the side of the road while Kimberly R. Emerich, 42, of Schuylkill Haven, was traveling northbound in a 2002 Dodge Neon.

The rear bumper of the other vehicle struck the front of the Neon. After impact the other driver continued north on 61 and then turned right onto SR443.

A Bucks County man was jailed on Monday for a robbery in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said James Edward Cheety, 26, of Bensalem, was committed to the county prison in Pottsville on charges of robbery, simple assault, theft and harassment.

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two crashes investigated by officers recently, including one in which the driver fled the scene.

On Monday, Oct. 25, about 6:48 p.m. officers responded to a crash that occurred in the area of SR115 and Interstate 80 overpass in Tobyhanna Township. Police said Christopher Macias-Delvalle, of Stroudsburg, was turning left onto 115 from the interstate west off ramp when his vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Alejandro Portillo-Peraza, of Jim Thorpe, who was traveling south on 115.
