An incident in which a sword was used in a threatening manner is being probed.

State police at Lehighton said James T. Nalesnik, 64, of Bowmanstown, is facing charges of terroristic threats for allegedly chasing George Anger, 49, also of Bowmanstown, with a sword and threatening him with bodily harm.

Troopers said the incident occurred in the area of 619 Ore St., Bowmanstown, about 10:40 p.m. on April 18.

Tamaqua police have cited two men after receiving a complaint about a possible underage drinking incident on April 14.

Patrolman Peter Wysochansky was dispatched to the Burger King parking lot, on Center St., at 9:44 p.m. after receiving a tip concerning two males in a white Volkeswegan Golf. As the officer approached the suspect vehicle exited the lot and Wysochansky made a vehicle stop for the suspected drinking and an illegal window tint.

A domestic dispute in Tamaqua on Friday landed one man in the Schuylkill County Prison.

Police were dispatched to 120 Center St., at 10:35 a.m. to deal with a reported domestic incident in progress. The dispatcher noted there was a knife possibly involved.

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating the theft of two cell phones at a Monroe County business.

Troopers said the incident occurred at the Le Nails, located in the Burger King Plaza, located along SR209, in Chestnuthill Township.

Troopers said a male and female entered the business about 6:10 p.m. on April 16 with the female asking for her eyebrows to be waxed. Her male companion sat in a chair in front of the fingernail area. Two employees had their cell phones on the work area where the male sat down.

A Carbon County crash involved a state police cruiser being struck. State police at Lehighton said the accident occurred about 7:15 p.m. on April 19 along SR248 eastbound in Bowmanstown.

Tamaqua police are investigating the theft of a Sony Cyber Shot digital camera, reported to the department at 9 a.m. on Monday.

Kenneth Hoffman, 65, of 414 Arlington St., Tamaqua, told officers the camera was removed from his 2005 Ford Escape, which was parked in his carport on Mountain Avenue. The vehicle was unlocked and the culprit also went through the glove box.

Tamaqua Police are investigating an act of criminal mischief, reported to the department on Saturday.

Keith McFarland, 33, of 212 N. Greenwood St., contacted police at 11:40 a.m. that day to report that someone had damaged two of his family's vehicles. The passenger side rear view mirror had been ripped off his 1993 Mazda 626 and an antenna was broken off his wife's 1998 Chevrolet Malibu. The vehicles were parked in front of McFarland's home.

Robert Joseph Holiday, 28, with a last known address of 226 Green St., Tamaqua, was picked up by Lehigh Township police on April 13 on outstanding felony warrants issued by the Tamaqua Police Department.

Holiday was then arraigned before duty District Judge James Reiley on the three warrants. The judge set bail at $35,000 straight cash bond.

He was incarcerated in the Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of bail.

The theft of an IPod Touch and an Apple 1 IPAD is being investigated by Tamaqua Police.

The items were reportedly taken from the Salvation Army gymnasium on West Broad Street. The incident was reported at 3 p.m. on Friday.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks are seeking the whereabouts of a Kunkletown man who is a suspect in an assault of his ex-wife.

Police said they are looking for Klayton Drake, 28, who is facing numerous criminal charges, including criminal trespass, assault and theft of a motor vehicle.

Police said they were called to the home of the man's ex-wife, Anneliese Drake, 29, of 28 Shenkel Road, Effort, Chestnuthill Township, on April 20 at about 2:40 a.m.
