A criminal mischief incident that was reported at 11:15 p.m. Oct. 6 in North Manheim Township is being investigated by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks.

Police said Sarah Wychunis, 21, of Orwigsburg, reported someone threw eggs at her 2010 Nissan Versa, causing the paint to be chipped away on the hood of the car.

The incident happened at Route 443 and North Greenview Road in the township. Police said the damages are estimated at $250.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police arrested Jules Callaghan, 42, of New Jersey, on charges of escape, resisting arrest, fleeing or attempting to elude police and driver required to be licensed after an incident at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 4 in the parking lot of the Full Gospel Holiness of God church parking lot, Coolbaugh Township.

Police said they responded there after Callaghan called 911, identifying himself as Jesus Christ, and saying he "couldn't get through the dark side."

Three persons are facing charges of manufacturing methamphetamines as a result of the execution of a search warrant on Oct. 8 at 9:30 p.m. at a residence in Effort.

Charged are Thomas E. Kram, 31, of Albrightsville, and Shawn D. Berger, 31, and Kimberly A. Maro, 29, both of Effort. Following arraignment, Kram is being held in the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, while Berger and Maro were later released.

Thomas Edwin Kram, 31, of Albrightsville, was issued a citation for harassment by state police at the Lehighton barracks after an incident on Oct. 7 at 8:45 p.m.

The incident happened at 506 Blueberry Way, Saylorsburg. Police said the victim is Lisa reid, 33, of Saylorsburg.

Police said the citation was issued as a result of an altercation between the two.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police arrested Joel S. Johnson, 31, of Stroudsburg, for shoplifting after he was caught trying to steal items at the Shop Rite Store in Mount Pocono.

Police said the incident happened at 2:44 p.m. Oct. 7 when he was caught attempting to leave the store without paying for $164.79 worth of merchandise.

He will receive a citation for retail theft through the magistrate's office.

State police at Frackville reported on two crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roads this week.

A crash occurred about 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 9, along SR61, about a mile south of Mall Road, in Blythe Township. Troopers said Leroy Long, 41, of Schuylkill Haven, was driving a 2008 Dodge Charger southbound when he said he swerved to avoid several deer that had entered the roadway. The car went onto the berm and struck a large rock embankment. Long was not injured but damages were termed heavy to the front end of the Charger.

A Slatington driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 12:25 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, along SR100 at Game Preserve Road, in Lowhill Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Dominick Fornaro, 24, was stopped for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI of alcohol and a controlled substance. The DUI charge is pending blood test results, troopers said.

State police at Frackville reported on two domestic-type incidents in which arrests were made.

Troopers said between 8:10 to 8:20 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7, at 219 Valley St., in Brockton, Schuylkill Township, Edna L. Shay, 50, and Roy R. Kesten, 48, got into an altercation at Shay's residence. The altercation turned physical when Shay allegedly struck Kesten in the head. Troopers said she was cited for harassment.

A Schuylkill County driver is facing charges after fleeing police and then crashing his vehicle. State police at Frackville said the incident began about 8:58 p.m. along SR924 near Shenandoah.
