Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on three driving under the influence (DUI) arrests made by officers.

On Oct. 20 about 2:40 a.m. police on patrol along SR940 observed a vehicle traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed. A vehicle stop was made and the driver identified as Julius Kollar, 45, of Swiftwater.

He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then transported to the county prison where a blood sample was taken for testing. The charge is pending the test results.

A Carbon County club has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Lansford AMVETS Home Association Inc., 201-203 W. Ridge St., Lansford, was cited for selling alcoholic beverages on Sept. 5, after the catering club liquor license expired on Aug. 31 and had not been renewed and/or validated.

A student at the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 29, 17 Maple Ave., in Norwegian Township, is facing assault charges following an incident at the school which involved a Carbon County resident as the victim. During the same incident another student was also charged.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said they responded to the school about 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, for a report of a assault.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said a Monroe County man is facing charges following a domestic incident.

Police said on Oct. 18 about 8:30 p.m. they were dispatched to 21 Summit Drive, Mount Pocono, for a reported domestic incident. On scene the officers were met by Vanessa Barnard, 24, and Veronica Barnard, 18, both of Boonton, N.J. Vanessa Barnard stated she came to the residence to drop off her children to their father, Kerey Cousar, 27, of that address.

A deer and a van collided along a Schuylkill County road on Thursday morning, Oct. 25.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said David W. Selsman, 43, of New Ringgold, was operating a 2006 Dodge Caravan eastbound on Second Mountain Road, North Manheim Township, about 9:12 a.m., and approaching a downshill right curve.

As the van entered the curve a deer came into the eastbound lane in front of Selsman. He swerved his van to avoid the animal and struck a culvert along the berm.

Selsman was not injured but the van had to be towed from the scene.

A vehicle stop by members of the Pocono Mountain Regional police led to the arrest of a wanted person.

Police said about 12:55 a.m. on Oct. 20 officers on patrol observed a red Fiat traveling on SR115 southbound. A vehicle stop was made for a motor vehicle code violation.

The driver was identified as Asia Rudolph, 22, of Allentown. A check revealed she was wanted by Northampton County authorities on a drug possession charge. She was taken into custody and transported to the county prison in Snydersville to await being picked by Northampton authorities.

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported the arrest of two Monroe County teens in connection with incidents that occurred in September.

Police said as a result of an investigation into multiple reports of criminal mischief to residences, mailboxes, and vehicles in the Pocono Farms Community, made on Sept. 22, police have charged Nicholas Morosco, 19, and Ray Dejesus, 19, both of Tobyhanna.

The two were charged with theft of movable property (a golf cart), receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and related criminal mischief counts.

State police at Lehighton are investigating two burglaries.

Troopers said homes at 8708 Twin Lakes Drive, and 18058 Robinhood Lakes, Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County, were entered. An attempt to enter a home at 8720 Twin Lakes Drive, was unsuccessful. Troopers listed the homeowners as Eugene Fijakowski, of Philadelphia, and Louis Brown, of Madison, N.J.

Troopers said entry occurred sometime between Oct. 22 at 9:30 p.m. and Oct. 23 at 8:30 a.m. Troopers did not indicate if anything was taken.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating two theft incidents at two Schuylkill County locations.

Troopers said Anthony Mark Snyder, 24, of Tower City, reported multiple hand and power tools were removed from a utility truck parked at his home, 2 Beagle Road, in Porter Township, sometime between 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 22, and 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

A Monroe County man is facing charges including indecent assault, for an incident involving a 16-year-old female.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Tyler Jon Rispoli, 25, of Pocono Summit, has been charged with sexual abuse of children, corrupton of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, criminal use of a communication facility, indecent assault, and tampering with evidence.

Police said the alleged incidents occurred over a period of 2011 into 2012.

Rispoli was arraigned before District Judge Anthony Fluegel, of Tobynanna, and released on $20,000 bail.
