A Carbon County driver is facing charges following an incident in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Richard Padora, 28, of E. Railroad St., Nesquehoning, was driving southbound on Interstate 81 in Ryan Township, about 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, through a construction zone.

Padora's vehicle struck several roadway signs as the road tapered to one lane. He entered a closed left lane of travel, continued southbound through the closed lane where there were three workers present actively working in the closed lane.

A Schuylkill County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred about 1:36 p.m. on Oct. 27 in the area of 315 W. Main St., in Girardville.

State police at Frackville said a white female from Girardville complained that as she drove in the area stated a flashlight was thrown out of a passing car and struck the windshield on her vehicle.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating the theft of two tree stands.

Troopers said the two stands were placed along SR443 (at 57 Sudeberg Road), in Pine Grove Township, marked for sale. They were chained to a wooden table.

An unknown criminal pulled up to the site, cut the chain with a bolt cutter, and took the two stands. The stands were the property of David Michael Schaeffer, 61, of Pine Grove.

The incident occurred about 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 30, troopers said.

A Nesquehoning resident has been charged following a domestic incident.

Borough police Officer Chad McGowan was dispatched to 154 E. Catawissa St., about 10:42 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, to a report of a domestic dispute. On scene he was met by Sarah Storms, of that address, who said her finance, Brent Leibenguth, 28, also of that address, got into a dispute.

State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of a propane tank.

Troopers said the theft was reported by the Odd Fellows Harmony Lodge No. 86, who care for the Odd Fellows Cemetery, located off SR209, in Schuylkill Township, at Tamaqua. The 100-pound tank was removed from the side of a building in the cemetery sometime between Oct. 24 and Thursday, Nov. 1.

Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570)-874-5300.

Lisa Green, 43, of 347 W. Kline Ave., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which took place on Sept. 23 at 9:23 p.m. at that residence. Charges of resisting arrest, simple assault, and persistent disorderly conduct were filed by Officer Jeffrey Ohl.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, here's what happened:

Ohl received a dispatch for two females fighting inside the house. Upon arrival, he saw several neighbors standing outside. As he approached the house, he saw a woman leave and heard another woman inside screaming and yelling.

Justin Jacobacci, 30, of 304 Hatchery Road, Jim Thorpe, faces charges from an incident which took place on Aug. 30 Charges of retail theft were filed by Lansford Officer Jason Helmer.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, here's what happened:

On Aug. 30 at 5:22 p.m., Helmer was dispatched to Boyer's Market. Once there he was directed to the back office, where store employees had detained Jacobacci.

Anthony Burkhart, 25, of 11 Woodland Drive, Stevens, Lancaster County: Obedience to traffic control devices on Sept. 19 at state routes 209 and 902.

John Schlauch, 28, of 230 Mauch Chunk St., Tamaqua: Driving without a license, driving under suspension, expired inspection, and obedience to traffic control devices on Oct. 13 at 9:54 p.m. on Dock Street.

A deer was the cause of a one-vehicle crash along Interstate 81 in Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Chelsea N. Raney, 22, of Leesburg, Va., was driving a 2009 Kia Sportage southbound about 1:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, when a deer entered the road in front of her.

Raney applied the brakes on her vehicle but was unable to stop and struck the deer.

Raney and her passenger, Karen E. Moroski, 23, of Scranton, were both uninjured.

The Kia had to be towed from the scene.

Jason Horvath, 29, of 316 W. Patterson St., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which took place on Oct. 21 at 3 p.m. at that address. Charges of four counts of aggravated assault, four counts of simple assault, and harassment were filed by Officer Christopher M. Ondrus. A video arraignment was conducted before on-call District Judge William Kissner of Palmerton and bail was set at $100,000 straight. Horvath was then committed to prison awaiting a preliminary hearing.
