State police have reported two additional incidents of shoplifting, a frequent problem that confronted them during the Christmas season.

Both incidents happened on Christmas eve.

State police at Fogelsville said at 12:36 p.m., a 16-year-old boy from Kutztown was caught stealing miscellaneous items valued at $18.08 from the WalMart store in Lower Macungie Township.

Four persons suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 8:40 p.m. Dec. 24 on Route 443, Clamtown Road, in Walker Township, according to state police at the Frackville barracks.

Kim Sweigard Sr., 57, of Tower City, has been arrested by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks on charges of making terroristic threats.

Police said the charge stems from an incident at 9:15 a.m.. Dec. 26 at 622 E. Grande Ave.

Police said a physical domestic dispute occurred at the above location, after which time Sweigard brandished a revolver and made significant threats towards the lives of Timothy Sweigard, 55, and Betty Sweigard, 82, both of Tower City, and a 17-year-old boy.

Ronny Acosta-Gomez, 23, of Lebanon, will be cited as a result of a one-vehicle accident at 5:25 a.m. Dec. 27 on Interstate 81 in Foster Township, according to state police at the Frackville barracks.

Police said he was driving a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor northbound when he lost control of the vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. The car spun clockwise through the passing lane, descended a small embankment in the median and collided with trees, coming to rest about 20 feet down the median.

Police said the driver was uninjured.

Dena Michelsen, 35, of Pocono Lake, was committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility, Snydersville, after her arraignment on simple assault charges stemming from a domestic incident at 8:25 p.m. Dec. 23 at 2127 Totel Trail, Tobyhanna Township, according to Pocono Mountain Regional Police.

Police said the victim, Conrad Michelsen, 48, also of Pocono Lake and identified as the husband of the defendant, told police the woman had assaulted him. Officers observed several scratch marks on the man's face, neck and arms.

Donald P. Troutman Jr., 44, of Minersville, will be cited for causing an accident at 8:17 p.m. Dec. 24 on Seltzer Road in Norweigan Township, according to state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks.

Police said he was driving a 2008 GMC Yukon that turned left from Seltzer Road into an alley and struck the driver's side of a 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe operated by Raymond Green Jr., 74, of Hegins, who was stopped at the time. Police said Troutman fled the scene without providing necessary aid and information to the other driver and/or an occupant in that vehicle.

Four persons were injured when a vehicle crashed and rolled onto its roof at 8:15 a.m. Dec. 26 on Interstate 81 in Cass Township.

State police at the Frackville barracks said Satparshi Debroy, 28, the driver of the vehicle, and three passengers, Gourab Sabui, 26, Payel Chattersee, 26, and Ranit Ghosh, 27, were transported to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after the crash. Police said each of them sustained moderate injuries. Debroy, Sabui and Ghosh are all from Orlando, Fla., while Chattersee is from Raleigh, N.C.

Donnell Snyder, 39, of Easton, has been arrested by state police at the Fogelsville barracks with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of a small amount of marijuana and tampering with evidence.

Police said the charges stem from an incident at 2:58 a.m. Dec. 27 along Route 309 northbound in South Whitehall Township.

Police said he was stopped for several traffic violations, after which time police said he displayed multiple signs of impairment.

Sharess Rodgers, 41, of Pocono Summit, has been arrested by Pocono Mountain Regional Police for simple assault and harassment as a result of a domestic incident that happened at 4:52 p.m. Dec. 24 at 2319 Freedom Way, Coolbaugh Township.

The victim is Steven Schwartz, 51, also of Pocono Summit, who police identified as the husband of the defendant.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a criminal mischief incident that happened between 11:30 p.m. Dec. 23 and 11 a.m. Dec. 24 in North Manheim Township.

The victim is John and Delores Minnich, Stony Run Road, Pottsville.

Police said someone damaged a rocking horse, two white geese and two sets of Christmas lights from a display at the victim's front yard.
