Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two arrests made by officers.

Police said about 11:45 p.m. on Feb. 16 officers made a traffic stop along SR196 at McNamara Lane, in Tobyhanna, for motor vehicle code violations. The driver was identified as John Lomonaco Jr., 47, of Greentown, Pike County.

He was found to be under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was then taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.

Lomonaco is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI), pending test results, police said.

A Carbon County teen is facing charges after he allegedly threw a soda bottle out of a moving school bus.

State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred about 3:30-3:40 p.m. in the area of Smith Road and SR903 in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

Troopers charged Rhashon Williams, 18, of Albrightsville, with disorderly conduct and scattering rubbish.

State police at Frackville are investigating an act of criminal mischief to a vehicle that occurred in the village of Brockton, Schuylkill Township.

Troopers said the 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee of Adrianne Rodgers, 221 Valley St., had the four tires flattened, the front left wiper blade bent, and part of a decal on the rear window scratched while parked at the residence.

The incident occurred sometime between 12:15 and 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22.

A Northampton County man has been arrested for theft at a Carbon County ski resort.

State police at Lehighton said Anthony Warner, 20, of Philadelphia, was arrested about 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, at the Blue Mountain Ski Resort in Lower Towamensing Township.

He is accused of taking the snowboard of a male juvenile from Saylorsburg.

State police at Lehighton reported investigating four crashes, including three hit and runs, in recent days.

A one-vehicle crash occurred about 11:18 p. m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, along Dotters Corner Road, in Polk Township. Troopers said Sheila D. Lassell, 23, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara westbound and going too fast for conditions when she lost control.

The vehicle traveled across the eastbound lane and went onto the south shoulder where it impacted with a tree with the front end.

A Monroe County man is facing a charge of corruption of minors-contributing to truancy.

State police at Fern Ridge charged Angel Jose Collado, 21, of Bartonsville, following an incident at the Pocono Mountain High School in Paradise Township. Troopers said Collado arrived at the school about 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 14 and picked up a 17-year-old female juvenile and drove off with her. The girl was listed as absent for the day by school officials, troopers said.

A Delaware state driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Wade Knight, 43, of Smyrna, was stopped about 3:10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, along SR940 in the area of the Sullivan Trail Motel, in Blakeslee, for an equipment violation.

Knight showed signs of intoxicatioin and failed field sobriety tests. He was then taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.

He was lodged in the county prison in Snydersville after failing to post $5,000 bail.

A vehicle stop in Monroe County has led to the arrest of two men on drug charges.

State police at Fern Ridge said a vehicle was stopped about 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, along SR715 in Pocono Township, for a motor vehicle code violation. Troopers said there were indications of criminal activity observed. A request for a consent search of the vehicle was denied.

Troopers said a K9 unit was called to the scene and a search warrant was obtained. Found in the car was a large amount of high grade marijuana and over $5,000 in cash.

No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 3 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20, along SR209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge said Leedoris E. Hofmann, 68, of Brodheadsville, was turning left onto Erin Lane from northbound 209 when her 2010 Toyota Corolla was struck by a 1997 Nissan Maxima driven by Robert D. Givey Jr., 37, of Blakeslee.

Troopers said Hofmann was cited for vehicle turning left.

A Luzerne County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident in Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge said troopers responded to a one-vehicle crash about 8:13 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, along Little Twig Road, in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said a 1994 Mercedes-Benz was operated by Gzim Mehmed, 33, of Hazleton, when it left the road and caused property damage and struck a tree.
