Three Tamaqua teens face trespassing charges after they were discovered in a neighborhood playground after posted hours.

Police were dispatched to the North and Middle Ward Playground at 1:55 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, for a noise complaint. At the playground they found David Kotansky, 18, of 311 E. Broad St., and two 16-year -old males, sitting on a bench. When questioned the trio became uncooperative.

The two juveniles were released to their parents.

Two Luzerne County men are facing more theft charges.

State police at Frackville said Craig D. Sims, 40, of Hazle Township, and John K. Davidovich, 36, of Hazleton, were charged with felony theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property charges. The charges were filed against Davidovich on Sept. 27 and Sims on Oct. 5.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an incident that occurred outside a Schuylkill County business involving a former employee and employer.

Troopers said the incident occurred about 1:08 a.m. on Sept. 28 in the parking lot of E&T Eatery, in North Manheim Township.

Troopers said John C. Rodriguez, 42, of Auburn, who is the owner of the eatery, and Rebecca A. Mohl., 19, of Schuylkill Haven, a former employee, engaged in a verbal argument.

A Tamaqua man was cited after causing damage to property at Rottet Motors on Greenwood Street, Tamaqua.

Derek A. Shellhamer, 24, of 307 Arlington St., was walking along Greenwood Street, in the area of the car dealership,when he used a white stick to destroy flowers in a planter located at the front entrance. He also used the stick on a 2011 Lincoln MKS, causing damage to the driver's side front bumper. Total damages were estimated at $500.

Shellhamer was cited for criminal mischief.

A Tamaqua man has been cited for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol following a Friday night incident.

An officer on patrol observed a green BMW at 10:18 p.m., driving slowly in the middle of North Greenwood Street. The car ran the red light at Broad and Greenwood streets and the officer conducted a traffic stop.

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating the theft of a motorcycle.

Peter Soroka Jr., 24, of Harvest Moon Drive, Brodheadsville, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, reported someone entered his home and removed his 1993 Honda Shadow bike. The bike is white with a silhouette of a female devil and angel on the gas tank.

The theft occurred sometime between 2:30 and 11:50 p.m. on Sept. 29. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 646-2271.

A 17-year-old teen was cited following a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 3:06 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, along SR61, near News St., in North Manheim Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the teen, from Schuylkill Haven, was operating a 2011 Ford F150 pickup truck and turning right from the Sheetz parking lot to go north. As he traveled onto the road he pulled into the path of a 1997 Ford Escort driven northbound by Douglas J. Fegley, 38, of Gordon.

A Schuylkill County woman is facing a drug counts following an incident that occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 4.

State police at Frackville said the Schuylkill County Adult Probation officers were serving a warrant on Michelle Ann Willie, 45, of Frackville, at the Country Squire Motel in North Manheim Township, for a parole violation. While taking her into custody officers found her to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

She was charged with those two offenses by troopers.

State police at Frackville reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 4:05 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5, along Darkwater Road in New Castle Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Christian K. Schminkey, 19, of Orwigsburg, was driving a 1986 Pontiac Parisienne, southbound and failed to negotiate a right curve near the intersection with SR9104. The vehicle left the road on the right side, traveled about 150 feet, before coming to rest after striking several small trees.

Kidder Township police reported on the following incidents.

Police are investigating the recent theft of copper from the top of Big Boulder Mountain. The copper was located inside a fenced area of antenna towers. The incident was reported on Sept. 27.

Police said a burglary occurred at 258C Hemlock Rd., in the Holiday Pocono development. The incident was reported on Sept. 22.

Police are investigating the theft of a wood carved bear along Lake Drive in Lake Harmony. The incident was reported on Oct. 1.
