State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on two incidents in which citations were issued for harassment.

The first incident occurred about 10 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, in the parking lot of the Pottsville Pizzeria in Mount Carbon. Troopers allege that Scott Weber struck Tyler Porter, both of Pottsville, in the face during a verbal altercation. Weber had left the scene prior to the arrival of troopers. Charges are pending against Weber.

A Schuylkill County driver is facing charges.

State police at Frackville said Neil Denchy, 40, of Mahanoy City, is facing several traffic citations as the result of an accident that occurred on Sept. 4 along Trenton Road, near SR1012, in Mahanoy Township.

Troopers said a 2002 Jeep crashed into a wooden rail post between 8-8:30 p.m. The driver fled the scene. The Jeep was registered to Kimberly Denchy, of Mahanoy City.

A Schuylkill County man is facing a charge of simple assault following an incident that occurred on Wednesday, Sept. 7, about 4:29 p.m.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Matthew Robert Seitz, 24, of 333 Mahantongo St., Tremont, got into a physical altercation with Simone Rose Smith, 21, also of that address.

During the course of the altercation Seitz allegedly grabbed Smith by her hair, banged her head on the wooden baseboard surrounding the bedroom. He then put his arm around her throat until she dropped down/went limp, then began to bang her head on the floor.

A Monroe County teen has been charged with assaulting his father.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said about 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, they were called to the home of Alexander Forbes, 62, of 145 Chestnut Lane, Albrightsville, Tunkhannock Township, for a report of a fight between father and son. On scene the father said his son, Alexander Charles Forbes, 18, had assaulted him.

A Monroe County driver was charged following a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 11:50 p.m. on Aug. 25 along Bunny Lane, near Effort Neola Road, in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said Suzanne M. Bowman, 34, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 1999 Ford F150 pickup truck southbound when the vehicle left the road and traveled into the yard on the property of Kevin Aprill, HC2 Box 138F, Brodheadsville, and struck a mailbox. She then fled the scene, troopers said.

Rush Township police are looking for Jacob Davis, 26, of Tresckow, in connection with the retail theft of a 26- inch television and dog food.

Davis allegedly removed the items from the Hometown Commons Walmart on Aug. 29.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Davis is asked to call police at (570) 668-4242.

A Hazleton woman has been charged by Rush Township police following a retail theft incident on Sept. 2.

Officers were dispatched to the Hometown Commons Wal-Mart for the reported theft of video games and accessories. Once on scene they were able to identify and locate Wendy Hendriquez Acosta, 31, as well as a juvenile accomplice. Both were taken into custody.

After being cited for the retail theft, Acosta was released and observed operating a motor vehicle. She was also then cited for driving with a suspended license.

A Carbon County driver was involved in a crash in Lehigh County when a tree had fallen across a roadway. State police at Fogelsville said the accident occurred about 11:41 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6, along New Smithville Road (SR3013), in Weisenberg Township.

Troopers said Austin W. Weiss, 23, of Lehighton, was driving a 2008 Subaru Impreza northbound when he came upon a large tree that had fallen across the road, completely blocking it.

Rush Township police have filed charges against a Weatherly man who allegedly falsely reported his vehicle as stolen.

Dylan Danko, 19, of Weatherly contacted township police on Aug. 30 to report the theft of his vehicle, which he said had been parked in the township. The vehicle was later located submerged in the Lofty Reservoir.

After questioning Danko admitted driving into the reservoir and then claiming the vehicle was stolen.

He was charged with giving false information to police.

Two drivers are facing driving under the influence (DUI) charges following an incident in Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge said they found a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier in a ditch along SR115, near Long Pond Road, about 4:13 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3. The driver was identified as Lisa M. Gerber, 21, of Jim Thorpe. Troopers said she was found to be under the influence and will be charged with DUI.
