Kelly Snowe Sr., 42, of 200 block of East Ridge St., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which took place at 2:12 a.m. Oct. 22 at his residence. Charges of persistent disorderly conduct and public drunkenness were filed by Officer Jeffrey Ohl.

Two Tamaqua residents were cited for allegedly assaulting another man on Oct. 20.

The Schuylkill County Communications Center received a 9-1-1 call at 3:40 p.m. from Andrew Stahler, of Tamaqua, who reported being assaulted by two males.

Stahler said the incident had just taken place in the unit block of Pine Street, across from the Tamaqua Rescue Squad. The victim had visible facial and head injures and was transported to St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, in the Tamaqua Community Ambulance.

A one vehicle crash about 6:35 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 24, resulted in hundreds of pounds of corn kernels being dumped on the road. State police at Lehighton said the crash occurred along SR209 in Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Gordon L. Rudelitch, 70, of Kunkletown, was driving a 1990 GMC truck southbound when he said another vehicle headed northbound entered his lane. He lost control of the truck which spun 180 degrees and rolled onto its roof off the right side of the road. The corn spilled along the right berm and part of the road. Rudelitch was not injured.

State police at Schuylkill Haven were kept busy over the past several days investigating numerous crashes on Schuylkill County roadways.

A two vehicle crash occurred about 2:17 p.m. on Oct. 27 along Cressona Road in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Lori L. Sult, 51,of Pine Grove, was southbound and stopped in a 2006 Jeep Liberty for traffic. Robert R. Stump Jr., 51, of Schuylkill Haven, southbound in a 2001 Mercury Sable LS failed to see the vehicle stopped ahead of him and his car struck the rear of the Jeep.

A Tamaqua man is facing a charge of theft.

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported that Andrew McNulty, 24, of Cressona, reported his Apple 4G Iphone was removed from his locker at the Hexcel Corporation, Saint Clair business park, in East Norwegian Township, sometime between 2 and 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 27. Troopers said the GPS tracking of the phone led them to Walter Fox III, 19, of Tamaqua. Fox eventually admitted stealing the unit for his own use and later returned it to McNulty, troopers said.

Fox was charged with theft by unlawful taking.

State police at Lehighton are investigating a burglary at an abandoned/empty residence in Carbon County.

Troopers said a residence in the 100 block of Wintergreen Rd., in Towamensing Township, was entered sometime between Sept. 21 and Oct. 21. Troopers said the property is going through a bank foreclosure and has been unoccupied since July.

Entry was gained through an unlocked garage door. Removed was about 20-feet of copper piping off the furnace in the basement of the home. The property owner is listed as Joan Martz, of Raymond Street, Lehighton.

State police at Lehighton are investigating a theft incident in Carbon County.

Troopers said Jeffrey Hosier, 43, of Bridge St., Weissport, alleges that Dietrik Hosier, 21, same address, removed silver quarters, gold coins, jewelry, 12 gauge single action shotgun and a HP laptop computer form his home on Oct. 24.

State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of two vehicles from a Schuylkill County business.

Troopers said the vehicles were taken from a garage at the Pinecrest Tree Farms, located at the intersection of SR895 and Little Mountain Road, New Ringgold, East Brunswick Township.

Troopers said a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), white in color, and a Chevrolet Silverado extended cab Z71 pickup truck, black in color, were taken. The Suburban bears state registration plate HKG4138 and the Silverado YYD1412.

A Carbon County driver is facing several charges, including driving under the influence (DUI), following an incident that occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 25.

State police at Lehighton said Robin S. Rhyder, 48, of Lehighton, was observed committing several motor vehicle code violations along SR248 in Parryville at about 10:10 p.m.

Nesquehoning police reported on the following citations being issued.

Chief Sean Smith cited Craig Ortiz, no address given, for illegal transfer of a firearm.

Officer Brian White filed charges against Jefferry Cope and Daniel Smith, no addresses given, each for aggravated harassment by a prisoner.

The incidents occurred at the county prison.
