A Carbon County driver was cited for driving under the influence (DUI) following a one vehicle crash that occurred about 11:05 p.m. on Jan. 10.

State police at Lehighton said the crash occurred in the area of 219 White St., Weissport, involving a vehicle operated by Tara Jo Hauser, 27, of Lehighton. Troopers listed the property damage victim as Stephen Edwin Thompson, 49, of Weissport.

Hauser was arrested for DUI as a result of an investigation into the crash, troopers said.

A Tamaqua man has been cited following an altercation Jan. 8 in the area of the Family Dollar Store.

Patrolman Peter Wysochansky was on patrol at 9:56 p.m. when a man ran out in front of the cruiser. The man, who identified himself as Robert Christman, 42, of 406 Pitt St., Tamaqua, had his face covered in blood, telling the officer he had just been assaulted by Jason Weaver, 30, of 28 Market St. The blood was coming from Christman's nose.

Lehighton police reported on the following arrests.

A 17-year-old female from Lansford was charged with possessing a weapon on school property. The incident occurred on Jan. 5 at the PATH school, located at 335 N. Fourth St. Police said she was found to be in possession of a folding pocket knife.

The charge will be filed through the county juvenile probation office.

A Jim Thorpe man was cited following an incident in the borough.

Borough police said about 10:36 p.m. on Dec. 30 they observed a 1997 Volkswagen Golf sedan parked in the police department's parking lot. Through a further investigation police learned the vehicle was left there by Rodney Rider, 30, of 924 Center St. While speaking with Rider at his residence about the vehicle he became confrontational and argumentative.

Police informed Rider that they were going to tow the vehicle and left his residence.

A Lehighton woman is facing charges, including driving under the influence (DUI), following an incident that occurred on Dec. 21, 2011, in the 200 block of N. First St.

Borough police said Jennifer Laudenslager, 39, of 243 N. Second St., has been charged with DUI, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and failing to utilize a proper child restraint system in a vehicle.

A Schuylkill County man was cited for public drunkenness.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said John Robert Miller, 45, of Port Carbon, was cited about 2:25 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 111 Pike St., Port Carbon. Troopers said Miller entered the Port Carbon library intoxicated and caused a disturbance.

Speed was blamed for a one vehicle crash that occurred about 12:10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, along SR54, in Mahanoy Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Amanda Ackroyd, 24, of Shenandoah, was operating a 2007 Ford Focus westbound and traveling too fast for conditions when she lost control.

The car crossed over the eastbound lane and traveled about 65-feet where it struck a rock wall along the east berm. The car then spun counter-clockwise about 180-degrees where it came to rest along the berm against the rock wall and partially in the travel lane.

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on several crashes, including two hit and runs, investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways.

A one-vehicle crash occurred about 2:10 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, along Red Church Road, in West Brunswick Township. Troopers said Gabrielle A. Accordino, 20, of Auburn, was driving a 2000 Saturn SL2 southbound when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle drifted off the edge of the road and struck a tree with the passenger side. Upon impact the car spun about 90-degrees coming to rest across the south lane.

A Jim Thorpe woman was jailed following a domestic incident.

Borough police responded to 52 W. Fourth St., about 10:51 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, to a report of a domestic incident. On scene officers were told by Kyle Strohl that he had been assaulted by his wife, who he said was under the influence of alcohol. Officers noted Strohl had bruises to his face and arms.

Two persons were cited following an incident in Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said about 9:55 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, they were dispatched to 6 Chapel Lane, Gilberton, for a report of an assault incident. On scene troopers were told by John Blashock, 43, of Gilberton, that he was hit in the face with a glass bottle by Connie Delowery, 47, also of Gilberton. Troopers noted that Blashock had injuries consistent with his allegations.
