A Tamaqua woman was lodged in the Schuylkill County prison on Saturday, Aug. 4, following a domestic dispute that resulted in injuries to two people.

Tamaqua Patrolman Karl Harig responded to 18 E. Mauch Chunk St., at 3:47 p.m. as the ambulance was dispatched for a male who was unconscious at that address.

On scene Harig learned that Kelly Bredamus, 43, of E. Broad St., had been using a metal cane to strike Robert Morris, 58, of Mauch Chunk Street. Morris had tried to get away from Bredamus. He was able to make it down a flight of stairs but then fell to the ground.

A Summit Hill man, who was wanted by police, was arrested in Lansford.

According to Summit Hill police, on June 9, at 9:12 p.m., an off duty Summit Hill police officer was traveling through Lansford when he saw Marco Baker, 26, of 327 E. Hazard St., walking through the borough. There was an active arrest warrant out on Baker.

The officer notified Summit Hill and Lansford police, which approached Baker. Baker then attempted to flee, but was taken into custody after a foot chase.

While in custody, officers discovered drugs in Baker's possession.

David Kutz, 43, of 348 W. Kline Ave., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which took place on July 24 at 3:23 p.m. at that address. Charges were filed by borough Officer Brian Horos. Kutz is charged with simple assault and harassment.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, here's what happened:

Horos was dispatched to the address on an assault that had just taken place. Emergency medical services were also called to the scene.

A Tamaqua man was charged after police found him to be under the influence.

According to Summit Hill police, on March 25, at 2:27 a.m., officers were on routine patrol when a vehicle approached them and failed to dim its high beams. Officers then observed the vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign and drive off the roadway several times.

A traffic stop was conducted and an investigation revealed that the driver, Matthew Nace, 27, of 116 Center St., was under the influence of alcohol.

State police at Frackville are investigating a criminal mischief incident that occurred at a site near Tamaqua.

Troopers said someone spray painted the mailbox and "no trespassing" signs on the property of Billy Rutherford, which is located at 15 Piersol St., in Schuylkill Township, just west of Tamaqua.

The incident occurred sometime between Sunday, Aug. 5, at 9 p.m. and Monday at 5:30 a.m. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 874-5300.

Christine Edmondson, 43, of 243 E. Ridge St., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which took place on July 11 at 12:10 a.m. Charges were filed by borough Officer Joshua Tom. Edmondson is charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Three individuals were charged in an incident that stemmed from a residence in Summit Hill.

According to Summit Hill police, on March 19, police received a report that a residence was entered in the borough. Upon investigation, it was learned that Shaina Poshefko, 25, of 633 Riverview Road, Slatington, had entered the home and stole a number of items.

Poshefko was charged with burglary, criminal trespass, theft and receiving stolen property.

A Coaldale man was charged after he caused a scene.

According to Summit Hill police, on July 6, at 6 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Lansford Townhouses for a disturbance. Upon arrival, it was learned that Joshua Bynon, 28, of 411 E. Ridge St., was having an argument with a female at the residence and that he was using foul language and being loud.

He was charged with disorderly conduct.

Robert Davis Jr., 49, of 371 W. Ridge St., Lansford, faces charges from an incident which took place on July 24 at 8 p.m. Charges were filed by Lansford Officer Brian Horos. Davis is charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.

According to an affidavit of probable cause, here's what happened:

Horos was on duty when he received a dispatch concerning a domestic incident at the address. He and Det./Sgt. Jack Soberick arrived on scene, and Davis immediately began yelling, "That (expletive) broke my radio!"

DUI

Criminal charges were filed against Raymond Deluna, 39, of 455 Edgemont Avenue, Palmerton, for DUI, reckless driving, careless driving, operation of vehicle without certificate of inspection, and registration and certificate of title required. The incident occurred on July 4 at 10:31 p.m. in the 600 block of Delaware Avenue.
