Jim Thorpe police report the arrest of Michael Christopher Yoo, 50, of 212 W. High St., Nesquehoning, on drug-related charges.

Police said the arrest stems from an incident at 10:09 a.m. Sept. 30 when police stopped a car Yoo was driving in the 1100 block of North Street after the man committed a traffic violation. Police said when speaking to the man, they detected an odor of marijuana. Yoo told police the smell was from his dogs having been sprayed by a skunk.

Corey D. Rehrig, 1 Cedar Ave., Jim Thorpe, has been arrested by borough police on charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

Police said the charges stem from an incident at 7:50 a.m. oct. 22 when Rosalind Rivera informed them Rehrig had stolen a 40-inch Sony television from her residence. Rivera also informed police Rehrig sold the TV to a Roy Souders for $70.

Police spoke to Souders, who confirmed Rehrig sold the television to him on Oct. 21. Rehrig also stole two 12-inch subwoofers that were valued at $300, police said.

G.W. Scott Brown, 42, of Walnutport, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of a traffic stop made by state police at the Fogelsville barracks at 1:34 a.m. Dec. 14 on State Route 22 eastbound in South Whitehall Township.

Police said after stopping the man for multiple traffic violations, he was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating a criminal mischief incident that happened between 11:30 p.m. Dec. 15 and 8:30 a.m. Dec. 16 in Lynn Township.

The victim is Barbara Byler of New Tripoli.

She told police someone slashed or punctured seven tires on two vehicles that were parked at 6621 Reeser Road in the township.

A shooting incident that was reported at 1:15 a.m. Dec. 14 in Cash Township, Schuylkill County, is under investigation by state police at the Frackville barracks.

Police said the victim is Adam T. Davis, 24, of Port Carbon.

Police did not release any details of the incident except to say it happened at 22 Ash Road in the township.

Mary Ann Hughes of 251 S. Second St., Lehighton, has been arrested by Jim Thorpe police on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and summary charges of careless driving and failure to drive on the right side of the road.

James Bachman, 41, of New Tripoli, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of a one-vehicle accident at 6:15 a.m. Dec. 16 at the intersection of Springhouse and Mosserville roads in Lynn Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said they responded to a report of a vehicle in the roadway with a person inside it being slumped over the steering wheel.

Upon awakening Bachman, he exhibited signs of impairment leaving police to determine he was driving under the influence of alcohol.

Kathy L. Dvoracek, 50, of Schnecksville, was hurt in a three-vehicle crash at 10:44 a.m. Dec. 14 at the Hamilton Bouldvard entrance ramp to Interstate 78 in Lower Macungie Township.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks said the severity of her injuries was not immediately known.

State police at the Fogelsville barracks are investigating the theft of four lawn mowers from a field in Lower Macungie Township.

The victim is Dennis Heffelfinger of Wescosville.

He told police someone removed the mowers from the area across from 1031 Village Round in the township.

Police said a witness saw a Caucasian male, between 20-30 years of age and with a "scrufty" beard removing the lawn mowers and driving off in a late model gray-colored pickup truck.

The incident happened between 3:30 and 4 p.m. Dec. 15.

A 15-year-old boy from Tremont was issued a disorderly conduct citation by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks after an incident at 6:15 p.m. Dec. 16 in that borough.

The victim is Chad Reiner, 21, also of Tremont.

He told police the boy approached his vehicle and proceeded to throw a cup of coffee on the windshield and front hood while the victim observed the incident.
