State police at Lehighton said a Carbon County man has become the victim of access device fraud.

Troopers said James Thomas Carrigan, 48, of 23 Broad Mountain View Drive, Jim Thorpe, Penn Forest Township, reported someone obtained his credit card information to make purchases totaling $3,500. The incident occurred during the period of Oct. 17-18.

Two drivers are facing driving under the influence (DUI) charges.

State police at Lehighton said Raymond Matthew Dotter, 49, of Blakeslee, was stopped along SR209 in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, about 10:52 p.m. on Oct. 21 for a vehicle code violation. He was then placed under arrest for DUI, troopers said.

Thomas L. Kelly IV, 25, of Saylorsburg, was stopped about 1:40 a.m. on Oct. 22 along Frantz Road, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, for traffic offenses.

A man is facing a charge of criminal trespass following an incident in Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said Gerard Nieroda, of Kunkletown, entered the driveway of Ronnie Lockard, 7735 Pohopoco Drive, Kunkletown, Towamensing Township, and remained there after being told to leave.

The incident occurred on Oct. 21 about 6:30 p.m., troopers said.

Rush Township police have cited Jacob Marion, 18, of Hazleton, with possession of marijuana.

The charges stem from an Oct. 20 incident when Marion was a passenger in a vehicle stopped on Claremont Avenue at 4:17 a.m.

Three Carbon County businesses have been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control broad.

Rivercreek, LLC, 219-221 N. First St., Lehighton, was cited on Sept. 5 because the business sold alcoholic beverages after the restaurant liquor license expired on Aug. 31, and had not been renewed and/or validated.

Palm Beverages Inc., 619 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, was cited on Sept. 5 because it sold alcoholic beverages after the malt beverage distributor license expired on Aug. 31, and had not been renewed and/or validated.

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a one-vehicle crash about 1:08 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23, along Kunkletown Road in Ross Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said Alyssa M. Johnson, 18, of Kunkletown, was driving a 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass westbound and negotiating a left-hand curve when she lost control on the wet road. The car went onto the north berm where the right side struck a tree.

Johnson was not injured. She was cited for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed, troopers said.

Rush Township police are investigating two burglaries reported recently to the department.

Rings and jewelry were stolen from a home on South Street, while a red Honda generator, a portable tool kit, and a leaf blower were removed from a property on Zellner Road.

Two persons are facing charges after a bizarre incident that happened Oct. 21 at 8:45 p.m. at Sammy's Mobile Home Park in North Manheim Township.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said Christopher M. Pate, 33, and Kevin D. Mohl, 25, both of the mobile home park, were arrested for simple assault, terroristic threats and harassment. Pate is also charged with theft and other related charges while Mohl is facing other charges as well, including criminal mischief.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred at the residence of Michelle Hendricks, 39, of 43 Front St., Cressona, about 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a theft from vehicle incident at a Schuylkill County location.

Troopers said Amanda Lynn Serrato, 30, of Ashland, parked her vehicle about 11:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21, on a lot at the Renningers Auction, located along SR61 in North Manheim Township. After leaving her car she looked back and saw her passenger side door was open.
