Two 17-year-old Tamaqua females were cited after police received a report of three girls engaged in a fight on Monday evening.

Officers were dispatched to Center Street at 7:42 p.m. where they were met with a stream of profanities being screamed at them by one of the teens. After she refused to heed their requests to calm down the teen was taken into custody and officers interviewed the other participants.

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a three vehicle crash in Schuylkill County. It was one of two crashes probed by troopers to have occurred on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Troopers said the three vehicle crash occurred about 7 a.m. along SR901 at Cressona Road, in North Manheim Township. Amanda Valukevich, 28, of Pottsville, was driving a 2006 Honda Civic eastbound and stopped for traffic ahead of her, which was attempting a left turn onto Cressona Road.

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 1:27 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 14, along Kuhenbeaker Road near Long Pond Road, in Long Pond.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said officers conducted a traffic stop. While at the stop another vehicle, an Oldsmobile sedan, pulled in front of the stopped vehicle and the driver exited the car and began to walk away.

Two Schuylkill County residents have been charged with bad check counts for incidents at a county business.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said David Miller, of Pine Grove, was cited for an incident that occurred on Oct. 5 at Moyer's Car Care Center, located at 102 SR183, in Wayne Township. He gave a check for merchandise he purchased which was later returned for insufficient funds.

Kori Lynn Weiss, of Pine Grove, was cited for the same offense at Moyer's which occurred on Oct. 17, troopers said.

State police at Lehighton are investigating two burglaries at two separate Carbon County locations, both occurring on Monday, Nov. 14.

Troopers said the residence of Lori and Carl Nothstein, 1500 block of Strohls Valley Road, Lehighton, Towamensing Township, was entered by unknown means. Once inside the criminals removed a pillow case from a bed in the master bedroom and emptied a wooded jewelry box into it. They also removed three watches from a dresser.

An Indiana man was jailed this week in Schuylkill County for an incident at a county restaurant.

State police at Frackville said the incident occurred about 1:45 a.m. on Nov. 11 at the drive-thru window at the McDonald's Restaurant near the Schuylkill Mall in New Castle Township.

A person drove through the drive-thru and exposed his genitals to an employee and then drove off. He was driving an older model car.

An 18-year-old Tamaqua female was cited following a confrontation on Mahanoy Street in the borough on Sunday.

Police were contacted at 6:49 p.m. by Karissa Hunara, 18, of 170 W. Spruce St., who reported being assaulted by Shiane Follweiler, 18, of 57 1/2 Bowe St.

State police at Frackville reported on two acts of criminal mischief being probed by troopers.

William Edward Hunter, 62, of 827 Pine Valley Road, New Ringgold, East Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County, reported someone damaged the left rear window on his vehicle while it was parked at his home. The incident occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, and 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Two persons were cited by Slatington police after a disturbance on Nov. 16 at 1:30 a.m.

Melissa Nicole Treadwell, 24, and Desmarie Lipsky, 29, both of 674 W. Washington St., were charged with harassment (including by physical contact) after the incident at their residence.
