Three persons are facing charges following what was reported to be a neighbors' dispute.

State police at Lehighton said troopers responded to the 900 block of W. Sunset Road, in East Penn Township, Carbon County, about 1:36 p.m. on Dec. 5 to a report of a dispute over a property line.

On scene officers learned that David D. Hauser, 74, and Steven R. Warnkin, 44, both of Lehighton, got into a verbal argument over a property line. The argument turned physical.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks are investigating a burglary that happened between 3:30 p.m. Dec. 8, and 9:10 a.m. Dec. 12 at a business in Cressona.

Police said someone arrived on scene at Eifert's Outgrown Outlet, 9 Walnut St., and broke a window at the front of the business to gain entry.

Once inside the criminals slightly turned a cash register and knocked a telephone onto the floor, fleeing the scene in an unknown direction and via an unknown means. Police said no items were reported as being missing.

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 11:33 p.m. on Dec. 6 along Kunkletown Road, in Ross Township.

State police at Lehighton said Lisa M. Rickus, 39, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2011 Jeep Limited westbound when she crossed over the eastbound lane and onto the berm where the Jeep struck a mailbox. After impact it continued west and struck a private road sign.

No one was hurt in a two-vehicle accident at 3:15 p.m. Dec. 10 in the Maury Road area, near SR903, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County.

State police at Lehighton said Andrea R. Castillo, of New Jersey, was driving a tractor trailer when he noticed the rig was over the posted weight limit to continue down SR903 into Jim Thorpe.

Lansford police responded to a motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at the intersection of Patterson and Springgarden streets.

A witness to the incident observed a vehicle being driven by Greg Hartman of Jim Thorpe traveling south on Springgarden Street, fail to stop for a red signal at the intersection with Patterson Street.

State police at the Lehighton barracks have reported a warrant has been issued for the arrest of James Alvie Smoot, 52, whose last known residence is Mountain View Drive, Eldred Township, Kunkletown, Monroe County.

Police said Smoot is an out-of-state registered sex offender who has failed to comply with registration requirements in Pennsylvania. Police said anyone with information about Smoot's whereabouts is encouraged to contact them. A photograph of the man can be found on the Megan's law website, police said. They also reported Smoot has ties to Tennessee, Ohio, and Kentucky.

State police at the Frackville barracks said Michael J. Yurkonis, 20, of Pottsville, will be cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic and failure to wear a seat belt as a result of a one-car accident at 10:15 a.m. Dec. 11 on Valley Road in Cass Township.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven arrested Richard Eltringham, of Hazleton, for harassment for incidents that happened between 12:48-4:48 p.m. Dec. 10 in Barry Township.

Police said it is alleged the man continued to text and call Susan Heim, 1229 Deep Creek Road, Barry Township, Ashland, after being told on several occasions to not have any contact with the victim.

Two Carbon County teens are facing underage drinking charges following a vehicle stop that occurred about 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9, along Forest Inn Road in Towamensing Township.

State police at Lehighton said a traffic stop was made and the two occupants of the car, William Santiago, 18, and a 16-year-old male, both of Palmerton, were found to have consumed alcohol.

Both were issued citations, troopers said.

Donna M. Jones, 39, of Pottsville, has been arrested by state police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police said the arrest stems from an incident at 11:24 p.m. Dec. 11 when she arrived at the state police barracks to report a crash which she was involved in near Reading.

Police said upon interviewing her, it was determined she was intoxicated.
