Kidder Township police reported on the following arrests made by officers over the past weekend.

On Saturday, June 18, about 6:34 a.m. police arrested Julienne Kaye Nicolas, 46, of Chesapeake, Va., for public drunkenness for an incident at the main lodge of Split Rock.

Also on Saturday about 8 p.m. police said Thomas W. Beiser Jr., 36, of Pen Argyl, and Russell P. Demko, 27, of Nazareth, were cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct following a disturbance at the Holiday Express located along SR940.

A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 9:58 p.m. on Monday, June 20, along SR183 at Moyer's Dutch Market, in Wayne Township.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said William Long, 19, of Pottsville, was stopped for a motor vehicle code violation. Troopers previously received a report of a erratic driver in the area.

A Tamaqua area cemetery was robbed over the past weekend.

The Odd Fellows Cemetery, located off SR209 in Schuylkill Township, at the extreme west end of Tamaqua, had the maintenance building forcibly entered. Removed was two red plastic cans full of gas, an orange extension cord and a Toro leaf blower.

Entry to the building was made by kicking in the door, troopers said, and then entering the garage section. The criminals then cut a lock on a mausoleum about 500 feet west of the maintenance building but nothing was disturbed in the mausoleum.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the theft of a flag pole and flag from a Carbon County cemetery. It was one of four theft incidents reported by troopers.

The pole and American flag were stolen from the center of the Christ Lutheran Church cemetery located at 189 Church Road, in Penn Forest Township. The theft occurred sometime between 8 p.m. Saturday, June 18, and 9 a.m. on Sunday.

A Schuylkill County man was jailed over the past weekend for an assault incident.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the incident occurred at a residence in Sammy's Mobile Home Park, in North Manheim Township. Troopers said Christopher M. Pate, allegedly punched, kicked, slapped, scratched, and grabbed Jennifer Gernert by the hair and threw her to the ground. She suffered a black and blue left eye, severe bruising on both arms, legs, face and chest areas.

A Lehighton driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident in Jim Thorpe.

Borough police said Marie L. Henning, 24, of 767 Upper Nis Hollow Drive, was stopped about 2:11 a.m. on Sunday, June 5, operating a 2001 Kia Sephia sedan along Susquehanna St. (SR209). She was stopped for an equipment violation, police said.

At the stop Henning showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. She was then transported to the Lehighton hospital for a blood test. The test results revealed she had a .28BAC.

A Monroe County man is facing charges of driving under the influence (DUI) and open lewdness following an incident that occurred about 3:02 a.m. on Sunday, June 19.

Pocono Mountain Regional police officers were on routine patrol at the time and date stated along SR940 near Blakeslee Corners, in Tobyhanna Township, when they observed a male exit his vehicle in the parking lot near the WaWa store.

He walked across the lot and stood on a landscape bed. He then began to urinate in the landscape bed and in plain view of the WaWa store customers, police said.

A Weatherly woman will be cited by Rush Township Police following a two-vehicle accident in the township on June 20.

Sarah Lech, 20, of was traveling south on SR309 in a Subaru Legacy at 2:44 p.m. Lech attempted to turn onto Tide Road and pulled in front of a northbound Ford Crown Victoria, operated by John W. Albert Jr., of Tamaqua.

The Albert vehicle sustained moderate damage and had to be towed from the scene.

There were no reported injuries.

A Beaver Meadows woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident in Rush Township on June 20.

Stephanie Holly, 40, was traveling east on Fairview Street at 5:44 p.m. when, for an unknown reason, her 1988 Chevrolet S10 veered from the highway. The pickup struck a utility pole and flipped onto its side.

Holly was transported to Hazleton General Hospital for treatment.

State police at Lehighton are investigating the theft of a truck in Monroe County.

Troopers said Matthew G. Getz, 34, of Kunkletown, reported his 2001 Chevrolet Silverado truck was stolen from along Big Spring Blvd. at Lower Valley Road, in Polk Township, sometime between 1 and 2 p.m. on Friday, June 17.

The truck is charcoal gray in color with a diamond plate tool box in the rear and a Remington .222 fireball rifle inside the truck. The rifle serial number is G6273498.
