Ty Mark Snyder, 18, of Red Lion, Pa., is facing drug possession charges filed against him by state police at the Lehighton barracks.

Police said he was stopped while driving a vehicle on Little Gap Road in Towamensing Township for a Motor Vehicle Code violation, after which time police found him to be in possession of suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

A Carbon County man is facing numerous charges.

Nesquehoning police said Sean Christopher McFadden, 23, of 318 E. Catawissa St., is facing charges for various auto break-ins.

Police said on Jan. 7 they received complaints from Jane Becker, Melissa Suveg, and Christ Heckman, concerning their vehicles being entered and items removed. Police learned that McFadden had been released from the prison on Jan. 3 on furlough to enter a rehab program but he failed to do so.

An incident at a Schuylkill County motel is being probed.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said David Natale, 25, of Auburn, reported he rented room 1204 at the Days Inn, 1476 SR61 South, in North Manheim Township, for a week. Sometime between noon on Saturday, Jan. 19, and 10:30 p.m. on Sunday someone removed a 24-inch Vizio flat screen television from the room.

A Northumberland County driver is facing a driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol charge following a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, along Interstate 81 in Foster Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Hali Lynn Matzura, 25, of Mount Carmel, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck northbound and weaving erratically in her lane.

She swerved to the right, across the northbound shoulder and landed in a ditch.

The truck then rolled over coming to rest off the road on its roof.

A Lehigh County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following an incident that occurred about 1:02 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, along SR100 at Orchard Road, in Lowhill Township.

State police at Fogelsville said Brandon Duane Rauch, 24, of New Tripoli, was stopped for speeding, going 65 miles-per-hour in a 45 zone.

Rauch was found to be under the influence and taken to the county DUI center for a blood test.

The DUI charge is pending the test results.

A Nesquehoning woman is facing charges of hindering apprehension for incidents involving her son.

Borough police charged Diane Jean McFadden, 53, of 318 E. Catawissa St., in two separate incidents.

She is charged in connection with a incident on Jan. 2. On that date the county court signed an order releasing Sean McFadden, 23, from the county jail on furlough to go to a Salvation Army Rehabilitation program in Harrisburg. The order stated when McFadden completed the program, or if he left it or was involuntarily discharged from it, he had to report back to the county prison.

Nesquehoning police reported the arrest of Thomas J. Devitt, of 22 W. Catawissa St., for public drunkenness.

Officer Brian White arrested Devitt following an incident on Friday, Jan. 18, about 5:02 a.m. at the Turkey Hill along Catawissa St.

State police at Frackville reported investigating two crashes on Schuylkill County roadways on Saturday, Jan. 19.

A one vehicle crash occurred about 3:07 a.m. along SR339 in Mahanoy Township, in which the driver is facing a driving under the influence (DUI) charge. Troopers said James A. Antonelli, 46, of Ringtown, was driving 1997 Ford Explorer northbound when he failed to negotiate a right hand curve in the road. The Explorer exited the west berm and overturned multiple times while traveling through a wooded area.

Nesquehoning police reported on a driving under the influence (DUI) arrest.

Police said on Nov. 23, 2012, Officer Brian White was on patrol along SR209 (E. Catawissa Street) about 1:35 a.m. when he observed a vehicle turn into St. John's Cemetery.

White followed the car into the cemetery and made a vehicle stop.

The driver was identified as Lee Aaron Thear, 24, of 2 Sixth Ave., Nesquehoning.

White smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage and noted Thear showed signs of intoxication.

State police at Frackville are investigating a burglary at a Schuylkill County residence. Troopers are also probing a theft from a vehicle incident.

The break-in occurred at the home of Bobbi Jo Leatherman, Preston Avenue, Girardville. Forced entry was made to the home and removed was a laptop computer and PlayStation games.

The entry occurred sometime between noon and 12:35 p.m. on Jan. 17.
