State police at Frackville are investigating a burglary at a Schuylkill County residence.

Troopers said the home of Carl Hollenbush, of Summer Valley Road (SR895), in East Brunswick Township, was entered on Monday, Sept. 23, between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Entry was gained by removing a air conditioner from a kitchen window.

Once inside the criminals removed jewelry and a revolver.

State police at Lehighton reported on theft and other incidents probed by troopers.

A theft occurred in the area of the Eldo Lakes development near Firelot, Eldo Lakes, Polk Township, Monroe County. Troopers said a trail camera which was strapped to a tree was removed by unknown criminals. The camera is valued at $299.

The theft occurred sometime between July 31 and Sept. 18.

State police at Lehighton reported investigating several crashes.

Troopers are investigating a hit and run accident that occurred along Forest St., in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, on Sept. 14 about 1:17 a.m.

Troopers said a all terrain vehicle (ATV) was traveling westbound when it left the road and struck a concrete mailbox post along the north shoulder. The ATV was last seen being loaded onto a pickup truck by four unidentified individuals and removed from the scene.

A Philadelphia man was cited following an incident in a Schuylkill County borough.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said John Mroz, 49, was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness for an incident that occurred about 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23, in the borough of Mount Carbon.

Troopers said Mroz was observed screaming at several neighbors and causing a disturbance in the area of 89 Main St. He was also observed by several witnesses to be intoxicated, troopers added.

A Slatington man is facing charges following an incident that occurred in Lehigh County.

Upper Macungie Township police said officers responded to 7607 Hamilton Blvd., in Trexlertown, about 6:54 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23, to a report of an assault.

On scene officers found Jared Billman, 20, of Allentown, who said he was punched in the face several times by Edwin Figueroa, 26, of Slatington. Billman showed visible signs of physical injury, police said.

Figueroa was charged with simple assault and related offenses, police added.

State police at Lehighton reported on an assault and theft incident that occurred on Sept. 16 in the area of 4567 Greenwood Drive, Robinhood Lakes development, in Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said James Franklin Labar, 23, of Effort, was walking at the above location when three males, two white and one black, assaulted him and stole his wallet, cell phone, and shoes.

The three suspects then fled in a teal in color four-door sedan with Florida registration.

Several driving under the influence (DUI) arrests were reported by state police at Lehighton.

On Sept. 12 about 2:05 a.m. troopers stopped Jeanette McHugh, 45, of Kunkletown, along Berger Hollow Road, in Polk Township, Monroe County, for traffic violations. She was found to be under the influence and was taken to the county DUI center for a blood test. Charges will be filed.

On Sept. 16 about 8:38 p.m. Eric Ramos, 34, of Lehighton, was stopped for a traffic violation along SR209 in Lehighton. He was found to be under the influence, troopers said.

Retail theft

Melissa Peters, 23, of 2390 Little Gap Road, Palmerton, was cited for driving under suspension and retail theft. The violations occurred on Sept. 18 at 4:10 p.m. in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue.

Traffic violation

John Bergstresser, 60, of 1455 Hahns Dairy Road, Palmerton, was cited for obedience to traffic control devices. The violation occurred on Sept. 18 at 3:05 p.m. at Delaware Avenue and Fourth Street.

A Monroe County man is facing a charge of disorderly conduct.

State police at Lehighton said the incident occurred about 2:20 p.m. on Sept. 18 at 379 Hawk Road, in Ross Township. Troopers said at the time and location stated Shawn Stintsman, 45, of that address, acted in an aggressive manner towards troopers. Several verbal commands were given which Stintsman failed to comply, troopers added.

State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating a retail theft incident at a Schuylkill County store. Troopers said the incident occurred at the Adult Book Store, located in North Manheim Township, and was reported on Sept. 10 about 2:20 p.m.
