A total of 12 underage drinkers were cited following an incident in Lehigh County. State police at Fogelsville said troopers found the 12 at 4542 Senny Court, Weisenburg Township, about 12:10 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3. In the house were alcoholic beverages and the suspects were found to have consumed alcohol.

A Carbon County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 6, along Little Gap Road, in Lower Towamensing Township.

Troopers said Joshua J. Damore, 38, of Palmerton, was eastbound when he swerved off the road for unknown reasons and hit the guide rail and then a telephone pole. Damore left the scene to seek medical attention for his two children who were in the vehicle with him. Damore and his two children were treated at the Palmerton hospital.

Pocono Mountain Regional police are investigating a hit and run accident in which property damaged occurred.

Police said about 7:12 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4, officers were called to 313 Lake Road, in the Pocono Farms development, for property damage. On scene officers learned the property owner returned from work and found that unknown persons had driven through the front yard, running over a pine tree and decorative wall.

Two females were cited for retail theft at the Walmart store at 1091 Millcreek Rd., in Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Tammy Callahan, of Kunkletown, and Brigitte Andrews, of Allentown, was cited about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3.

Troopers said the two went into the store and selected one item each. They then went to the customer service desk and made a no receipt return of the items for gift cards. The two then went back into the store and bought items with the gift cards, troopers said.

A Lehigh County driver is facing charges, including driving under the influence (DUI), following an incident that occurred about 2:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, along SR222 (Hamilton Boulevard), in Lower Macungie Township.

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported a rear-end type crash occurred about 5:24 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4, along SR940 at Crestwood Drive, in Mount Pocono.

Police said Alan Rossey, 35, of Cresco, stopped for a vehicle turning left ahead of him when his vehicle was struck in the rear by one operated by Jarius Kuhn, 21, of Stroudsburg. No one was injured but Kuhn's vehicle had to be towed from the scene due to extensive damage.

Kuhn was cited for driving with an expired drivers license and driving a vehicle at a (un) safe speed, police said.

A Schuylkill County woman has been charged with retail theft following an incident at a county department store.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Ashley Renninger, of Cressona, was charged for an incident that occurred between 3:15 and 3:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at Boscov's Department Store in the Fairlane Village Mall, in Norwegian Township.

Renninger allegedly took two pairs of shoes from the store without paying for them, troopers said.

A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Wednesday, Feb. 6, for assault and threats, counts stemming from an incident that occurred at his residence along Bridge Street in Mahanoy Plane, Gilberton.

State police at Frackville said Jeffrey McCarthy, 24, allegedly subjected a 22-year-old female from Pottsville to physical contact by pushing her into a cabinet, punching her several times, and pushing her face into a pillow.

Troopers also said McCarthy threatened to kill her. The incident occurred between 4:30 and 7:30 a.m.

State police at Lehighton reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers recently.

A two vehicle crash occurred about 2 p.m. on Jan. 13 along Blue Mountain Drive, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County.

Troopers said Andrew W. Rider, 19, of Bethlehem, was northbound in a 1999 Chevrolet Prizm when his vehicle struck the rear of a 2003 Subaru Outback driven by David Paul, 50, of Walnutport.

No one was injured but both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

A driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence (DUI) following a one-vehicle crash that occurred about 4:15 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 4, along SR209 in Polk Township, Monroe County.

State police at Lehighton said Ronald Lee Mackes, 54, of Gilbert, was involved in a crash at the above-stated location and time.

He was found to be under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI.

Troopers said charges will be filed.
