A 44-year-old mother, who police said refused to cooperate with Children & Youth Services personnel regarding the welfare of her 8-year-old child, is imprisoned after police disarmed her during an altercation at her residence at 10:26 a.m. Sept. 23.

A Monroe County woman, wanted for an assault and robbery incident that occurred in June, was apprehended on Monday.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said Lennisha Johnson, 18, of Coolbaugh Township, was arrested in Hazleton on Monday for retail theft. City police then learned there was an outstanding arrest warrant for her issued to PMRP. Pocono police took custody of Johnson. She was arraigned before a district judge on charges of robbery, criminal conspiracy to commit robbery, simple assault, theft, receiving stolen property and disorderly conduct. She was released on bond.

A Schuylkill County man was arrested on Tuesday for violating a protection from abuse order and later jailed.

State police at Frackville said Thomas John Roberts, 28, of Pottsville, was served the PFA order on Sept. 25 which prohibited him from contacting a 28-year-old female from Cass Township. Roberts violated the order by sending multiple text messages to the female on Tuesday.

A Monroe County driver was stopped for speeding and then found to be under the influence.

State police at Fern Ridge said Courtney Connelly, of Saylorsburg, was stopped at 2:50 a.m. along the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township. Connelly was found to be impaired and given field sobriety and PBT tests. Connelly was then transported to the county DUI center for a blood test. The DUI charge is pending.

A Monroe County man has been cited for public drunkenness following an incident that occurred Friday at 8:02 p.m.

State police at Fern Ridge said Ryan L. Henning, 37, of Chestnuthill Township, was found in front of the Subway restaurant, located along Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, drinking beer and annoying customers in the area. He was given a PBT test which indicated at 0.20 BAC.

One person was injured and flown to a trauma center, following a one-vehicle crash that occurred around 4 p.m. Tuesday along Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.

Various types of jewelry were taken in a Carbon County burglary.

State police at Fern Ridge said a residence located along Pine Tree Road, Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township, was entered sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Items taken included: a white/gold engagement ring, a set of diamond earrings, an orange silicone watch, a black and red watch with red stones, and a stainless colored watch with diamonds on the face. No value was listed for the stolen items.

A Sciota woman reported someone stole $400 from her bank account, according to state police at the Fern Ridge barracks.

Police said a 41-year-old woman of Sciota, told them at 9:14 p.m. Aug. 4 the money was taken from her account.

She told police her roommate is the only person with access to her debit card and that he has knowledge of her card pin number.

Palmerton Police Department investigated several incidents:

• Charges were filed against Bradley Sopko, 18, of Lehighton, for burglary, theft, receiving stolen property, criminal trespass, and criminal mischief. The incident occurred on July 31 in the 500 block of Delaware Avenue.

• Charges were filed against Christopher Dutko, 28, of Palmerton, for theft and receiving stolen property. The incident occurred on Aug. 28 at 1:51 p.m. on Third Street.

• Police also issued four citations for vehicle violations, two for speeding, and one for traffic violation.
