Wants propertysubject to lien

Erica Harrison, 322 W. Ridge St., Lansford, has filed a civil action against two persons and a business in that borough, seeking to have a property and a vehicle owned by them subject to a lien previously ordered by the court.

Bankruptcy ruling

A judgment in the amount of $307,145.50 which was ordered by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania has been filed in the Carbon County Court of Common Pleas as being non-dischargeable.

The defendant is Harold C. Lampe Jr. of Wayne, Pa., who was named in the 2009 action. Following a four-year docket process, Judge Jean K. FitzSimon ruled in favor of Jestyn G. Payne, Esq., as custodian for Lauren Lampe, a minor.

Warrant hearings

Judge John E. Domalakes held hearings for two defendants brought to court on bench warrants. After the hearing he handed down orders.

Brandon Wehry, 28, Shamokin, had the bench warrant issued on Nov. 15 dissolved and bail set at $25,000 percentage cash with several conditions added. He must reside at 5 Madison Avenue, Elysburg, and not relocate without prior court order, shall not posses, transport, or consume any alcohol or drugs unless provided by a medical provider and shall not frequent any establishments were alcohol is sold.

School tax suits

Tamaqua Area School District filed suits against two property owners claiming they are delinquent in payments on their property school tax and seeks judgements entered.

One suit is against Bernard L. and Brenda Gigli claiming they owe back taxes of $788.09 on their property at 106 Gay St., Tamaqua, and the second suit against Brenda L. Ristila claiming she owes back school tax of $769.06 on her property at 422 Willing St., Tamaqua.

Seek disenterment

It is almost impossible to sell a property if your front lawn is a cemetery.

So the Roman Catholic Diocese of Allentown has filed a petition in the county court seeking to disinterment the remains of six Roman Catholic priests buried in front of the former Saint Kieran Church in the village of Heckscherville, Cass Township. They will be re-buried in the Saint Kieran's Cemetery. The petition states there are no known next of kin.

Bench warrants

Bench warrant hearings were held by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin.

Ethan C. Madiera, 22, Kutztown, had his bench warrant lifted and bail modified to $5,000 unsecured bail. He wa charged by West Penn Township Patrolman Jason Lorah, with burglary of a home at 12 Spirit Court, New Ringgold, on Feb. 18, 2011. A bench warrant was issued for his arrest last Feb. 2 when he failed to appear to select a jury for his trial. He was arrested on Feb. 8 at his home in Kutztown.
