Tax information

Coaldale Borough Tax Collector Catherine Papesh reminds borough residents the final day to make tax payments for 2009 is Dec. 31. Postmarks will be accepted.

The office will be closed from Thursday through Monday, Dec. 24-28. The tax collector will be open Tuesday through Thursday, Dec. 28-31, during regular hours to accept final payments.

The office will also be closed Jan. 1-4.

Summit Hill

Methodist Charge

The schedule for the Coaldale/Summit Hill United Methodist Charge for Sunday, Dec. 20, is as follows:

Worship services will be held at 9 a.m. in the Summit Hill United Methodist Church and at 11 a.m. in the Coaldale United Methodist Church. The Rev. Burgess Gordon, pastor, will officiate at both services. The adult Sunday school will meet at 9:45 a.m. in the Coaldale church.

Booster club meeting

The Panther Valley Grappler Club will be holding a booster club meeting on Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. in the high school library. All parents are encouraged to attend.

Summit Hill

Bloodmobile planned

A bloodmobile sponsored by St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will be located in the church hall on Wednesday, Dec. 16, from 2-7 p.m. A goal of 35 pints has been set.

Methodist Charge

The worship service in the Summit Hill United Methodist Church will be held on Sunday, Dec. 13, at 9 a.m. Members are reminded to bring their gifts for the Carbon County Head Start Program before Dec. 15.
