Community meal

A free community supper will be held from 4-6 p.m. Thursday, May 24, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 345 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton. All are welcome to enjoy a free meal and fellowship.

LALLC to meet

Lehighton Area Lioness Lions Club Board will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 31 at the Gothard Realty office, Interchange Road in Lehighton.

Board members who are unable to attend are asked to notify President Lisa Whitehead before the meeting.

Summer program at St. Peter and Paul

St. Peter and Paul School is offering a summer program for children ages 5 to 12 that will provide 12 weeks of full day summer care. The program will be open between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to help parents with scheduling needs. There are full-time and part-time options available.

There will be a variety of "theme" weeks to help children have fun while learning.

Palmerton Lions to meet

Palmerton Lions will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 18 at Fireline Hotel. Marsha Resch, emergency department manager at Blue Mountain Health System, will be the speaker and will offer special tips on personal emergency/disaster preparedness.

Third Monday Book Club

Track and field camp planned

Christ Evangelical Free Church, 2420 Blakeslee Blvd. Drive West, Lehighton, will hold a Co-ed Track and Field Camp for children ages 5 through 13 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., June 18-22. Lunch will be provided. The event will be held rain or shine.

S.S. Palmer High School Class of 1957 will hold its 55th Class Reunion on June 9, with a family-style dinner at the Blue Ridge Country Club. The men and boys of St. John's Lutheran Church will hold their monthly newspaper drive on Saturday, May 5. There will be one sweep of the Palmerton, Aquashicola, and Little Gap areas beginning at 8 a.m.

Trinity Church events

This Sunday, April 22, is designated as Youth Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. 3rd St., at the 9 a.m. service. The youth of the congregation will be the leaders: greeters, ushers, lectors, and deliver the sermon. The Trinity Praise Band featuring vocalists, percussion and guitars will have the musical format in a contemporary style of worship. All are invited to attend.
