Jim Thorpe Chamber of Commerce will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at the Albright Restaurant, upstairs room, 66 Broadway, Jim Thorpe. Parking is free in the evenings. The agenda will include current marketing initiatives of the Chamber, as well as lots of other current issues.

Bishop visit

Bishop Paul Marshall, will be at St. Mark's/St. John's Episcopal Church, Race Street, for the 9 a.m. service on Sunday, June 26. This will be the only service for this Sunday and it will be held in the main church.

A reception will be held following the service in the Great Hall.

Water reports

The annual water reports are being mailed to all residents of Jim Thorpe. If you do not receive one and wish to have one, please call the borough office, at (570) 325-2181.

Clothing drive

St. John's Lutheran Church, South Ave, will begin collecting clean and gently used clothing for its annual clothing give away, on the following dates. The church will be open on Tuesday and Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. It will begin on June 21 and continue until July 14.

Touchdown Club

The Jim Thorpe Olympian Touchdown Club will meet this evening at 6 p.m. in the commons area of the high school. The monthly meetings are open to anyone interested in the school's football program.

Parents/guardians/grandparents are asked to attend and help in planning this year's events.

Fire company meeting

The members of the Phoenix Fire Company will meet on Tuesday, June 14, at 7 p.m. at the company headquarters.
