Reunions

The Palmerton Area High School Class of 1989 recently held its 20-year reunion on Nov. 28, at Blue Ridge Country Club. Classmates who attended the event are, front, Skip Rehrig. Second row, David Nothstein, Ricky Getz, Mike Lieby, James Dailey, Mike Yacone, Roger Berger, and Eugene Eckhart. Third row, Wendy Balliet, Amy Banko, Angela Scherer, Kim Green, Diana Carter, Stephanie Shupp, and Diane Strudik.

Palmerton Area High School's Class of 1984 recently held its 25-year reunion at the Lehighton American Legion. Classmates in attendance included, front row from left, Nanette (Rex) Sanson, Lori (Moyer) Nemeth, Lisa (Cappolella) Rosché, Sheri (Nothstein) Anthony, Karyn Dokan, Anita (Eckhart) Goodman, Kathy (Schwartz) Boni, Justine (Ferko) Hoglen, Shelly (Papay) Schleicher-Reiner, Heidi (Wisser) Waylen and Sandy (Eckert) Roberts.

A reunion planning meeting for the Lehighton Area High School Class of 1970 will be held on Monday, Nov. 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Lehighton Orioles Nest, Orioles Drive.

Any class member interested in participating is welcome to attend.

The Tamaqua High School Class of 1954 celebrated its 55-year reunion on July 25, at the home of classmate Percy "Buzzy" Zatoris and his wife, Minnette. Of the 60 people in attendance, 38 were members of the class. The day included carriage rides and tours of the property and Zatoris' research lab.
