Mr. and Mrs. Francis Smell Jr. of Lake Hauto announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Lynn, to Joseph-Michael Jeremy Martin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Martin Sr. of North Irwin.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Marian Catholic High School. She earned a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a master of engineering in project management from the University of Maryland.

She is PMP certified and currently works as a director of project management at Aramark in Philadelphia.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Gerald and Diane Briggs.

She is a 2004 graduate of Marian Catholic High School. She graduated in 2011 from Bloomsburg University with a bachelor of science in medical imaging. She also graduated from Lancaster General College of Nursing and Health Sciences with a certificate in nuclear medicine in 2011.

She is currently employed as a recruiter for the PA Air National Guard, as a technical sergeant.

She is currently enrolled at LCCC and will graduate in 2016 with a degree in business management.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Jeff and Sandie Roth of Lehighton. He is a 2007 graduate of Lehighton Area High School.
