The engagement of Lindsay Hoffman, Palmerton, to Brett Heckman, also of Palmerton, has been announced by the couple.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mitch and Linda Kleintop of Palmerton, and Frank and Jen Hoffman of Nesquehoning.

She is a graduate of Carbon County Area Vocational Technical School and is employed by Subway.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Barry Heckman Sr. of Lehighton, and Cheryl Heckman of Palmerton. He is a graduate of Lehighton Area High School and is employed by Blue Ridge Pressure Casting.

The parents of Joseph Mead and Kelly Stauffer have announced their engagement.

The bride is the daughter of Elmer and Annmarie Stauffer of Nesquehoning. She is also the granddaughter of Clifford and Floretta Stauffer of Weatherly and Samuel and Jennie Citrano of Mahoning Valley.

She is a 2006 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and a 2010 graduate of McCann's School of Business and Technology, where she received an associate of specialized business in massage therapy. She is employed by Millbrook Homecare.

Joelle A. Chinni and C.C. Simmons, both of Coaldale, have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Hazleton High School.

Her fiance is a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School, Denver, Colo. He is employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The couple plan to wed on Aug. 25, 2012.

The engagement of Autumn Leigh Barna to James Harry Gilbert has been announced by her parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Joseph and Teresa Marie Barna of Weatherly. She is a 2002 graduate of Marian Catholic High School. In 2006 she earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary and special education from Misericordia University. She earned a master of science degree in classroom technology from Wilkes University in 2010.

She is employed as a third-grade elementary teacher by the Panther Valley School District.
