Mr. and Mrs. Truman Andrews of Franklin Township are observing their 55th wedding anniversary.

They were married on June 27, 1959, at St. Paul's Church in Big Creek by the Rev. Paul Buehrle.

Mrs. Andrews is the former Joy Young, daughter of the late Stella Ahner of Lehighton.

Mr. Andrews is the son of the late Clinton and Marguerite Andrews of Slatington.

He is retired from Bethlehem Steel.

The celebrants have three children: Wendy Bussey-Williams and Marci Warnkin of Lehighton, and Scott Andrews of Lansford.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Stuckley

Raymond and Betty Stuckley of Parryville recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married June 20, 1964, by Justice of The Peace Neri Kane in Palmerton.

Mrs. Stuckley is the daughter of the late Liona and Kenneth Frohnheiser of Lehighton.

Her husband is the son of the late Raymond and Ardella Stuckley of Parryville.

The couple has five children: Roberta Heiney of Lehighton; Raymond III, husband of Petey of Lehighton; Wadealan, husband of Margie of Missouri; Glenn at home; and the late Robert.

Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Muffley

Maryann and Melvin Muffley of Lehighton recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married May 16, 1964, by the Rev. Daniel Shook, pastor, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bowmanstown.

Mrs. Muffley is the daughter of the late John and Stella Behler of Bowmanstown. Her husband is the son of the late Stewart and Arvilla Muffley of Lehighton.

The couple has three children: Rhonda, wife of John Rupell of Lehighton; Malinda, wife of Kyle Eckman of Lehighton; and Kimberly, wife of Matthew Williams of Walnutport.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bollinger

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bollinger of Palmerton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on June 6, 1964, at Zion United Church of Christ in Lehighton by the Rev. Alton Leister.

Mrs. Bollinger was the former Eileen DeReamer, daughter of the late Robert and Pauline DeReamer of Lehighton.

Mr. Bollinger is the son of the late Richard and Alverta Bollinger of Palmerton.

The couple has two children: Randy Bollinger and his wife, Amiee, of Palmerton. Brian Bollinger and his wife, Stephanie, also of Palmerton.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Carter of Forest Inn are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married May 23, 1964, at St. Paul's UCC in Big Creek.

Robert, son of the late Ray and Tess Carter of Forest Inn, is retired from Rencor Corp in New Jersey. Carolyn, a homemaker, is the daughter of the late Ed and Irene Parliman of Franklin Township.

The celebrants have three children: Steve of Palmerton, Scott of Lehighton and Diana, wife of Dwayne Hauser of Franklin Township.

Mr. and Mrs. David J. Thomas

Betty and David J. Thomas of Lehighton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on May 23, 1964, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Palmerton by the Rev. John Diehl IV.

Mrs. Thomas is the former Betty Furry, daughter of the late Forrest and Mildred Furry of Palmerton.

Mr. Thomas is the son of the late Gordon and Clarentha Thomas of Walnutport.

Mr. and Mrs. Willard Creitz

Mr. and Mrs. Willard Creitz of Lehighton recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. They were married on April 1, 1944 by the Rev. George McKinley, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church in Palmerton. They were attended by Pauline Borger, sister of the bride and witnessed by the bride's mother, Susan Neff and the bridegroom's mother, Grace Creitz.

Mrs. Creitz is the former Dorothy Arlene Neff, daughter of the late George and Susan Neff. Her husband is the son of the late David and Grace Creitz.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth D. Handwerk of Robesonia recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Nov. 9, 1963 at St. John's United Church of Christ in Palmerton by the Rev. Howard R. Whitebred.

Mrs. Handwerk is the former Carolyn M. Hittner, daughter of Emma Hittner of Palmerton and the late Samuel C. Hittner.

Her husband is the son of the late Frank and Ida Handwerk of Palmerton.

The Handwerks have a son, retired MSgt. Randy S. Handwerk, husband of Donna, of Richland; and a daughter, Melissa Platt, wife of Daniel Platt of Columbia.

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Reinhart

Bob and Connie Reinhart, Palmerton, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on Jan. 18, 1964 at the Helen Eakin Eisenhower Chapel on the Penn State Campus. They met while students at Penn State University.

They have a daughter, Cindy and a son, Bob.

Bob worked at the New Jersey Zinc Company until it closed in 1970, when he went to work for Rodale Press as a statistician.

Connie worked at Blue Ridge Sportswear as a bookkeeper.

Mr. and Mrs. Dennis J. Serfass

Mr. and Mrs. Dennis J. Serfass recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married Dec. 21, 1963 at Grace Lutheran Church, Lehighton by the Rev. Allen Hanson.

Mrs. Serfass is the former Doris Blose, daughter of the late Melvin and Irene (Koch) Blose of Parryville. Her husband is the son of the late Russell and Lorraine (Clay) Serfass of Lehighton.

They have two children: a daughter, Lisa Haydt of Palmerton, and a son, Judge Steven R. Serfass, and his wife Jenny Cheng Serfass of Palmerton.
