Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rodgers Sr. recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on July 24, 1954.

Mrs. Rodgers is the former Marion Henning, daughter of the late Violet and Russell Henning of Palmerton.

Her husband is the son of the late Eva and Russell Binkly of Quakertown and Kenneth and Helen Rodgers of Lehighton.

They have five children: Ginger Rodgers of Palmerton; Beverly Smale of Palmerton; Charles Jr. of Palmerton; Bonnie, wife of Timmy Payonk of Palmerton; and Donna, wife of Mark Bollinger of Kunkletown.

Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Redline

Sharon and Dwight Redline of Walnutport, formerly of Kresgeville, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on June 20, 1964 at St. Matthew's Church in Kunkletown by the Rev. Kline.

Sharon is the daughter of the late Warren and Tillie (Dotter) Getz of Kresgeville. Dwight is the son of the late Clayton and Ruth (Graver) Redline of Kunkletown.

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Exner

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Exner recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. They were married June 22, 1963 at St. Peter's Church in Mantzville by the Rev. George Fetterolf.

Mrs. Exner is the former Evelyn Steigerwalt, daughter of the late Irma and Clifford Steigerwalt of Lehighton.

Her husband is the son of the late Anna and Luther Exner of Andreas.

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Tokosh

Eugene Tokosh and Florence (Pancheri) Tokosh will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on Aug. 5.

They met at a movie theater in 1941. Eugene "caught Florence's eye" and he asked her if he could sit beside her. When he noticed Florence, he said to his brother Paul "I'm going to marry that girl."

At the time Florence was 17 years old and Eugene was 20. They dated for three years and were married in Sandwich, Massachusetts, while Eugene was serving in the Navy during World War II.

He served on the USS Sarita, an attack cargo transport, in the Pacific Ocean.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Snyder of 313 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, will celebrate their 64th wedding anniversary on Tuesday.

They were married on July 29, 1950, in Zion Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, by the late Rev. Charles Schlitzer.

Mrs. Snyder is the former Joan Schlosser. She is retired after working as the Tamaqua borough secretary for 25 years.

Her husband is a disabled veteran with over 16 years of military service with the U.S. Army.

He was last employed as plant superintendent at the former Diversified Metals Corporation in Hometown.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Hayman

Mr. and Mrs. Robert R. Hayman of Lehighton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on July 18, 1964, by the Rev. Francis Walter at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Allentown.

Mrs. Hayman is the former Helen Cecelia Grimes, daughter of the late Blanche and Francis Grimes of Coalport.

Her husband is the son of Mary Hayman of Wilkes-Barre and the late Ralph Hayman.

Robert's brother Ronald Hayman served as best man at their wedding.

Helen's sister, Joyce Baker, was matron of honor.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hyska

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hyska of Jim Thorpe will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 18. They were married in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jim Thorpe.

Mrs. Hyska is the former Sheila Snyder, daughter of the late John and Lucy Snyder of Jim Thorpe. She is the owner/cosmetologist at Sheila's Cutting and Styling in Jim Thorpe.

Mr. Hyska is the son of Alberta Hyska of Fairless Hills and the late Leo Hyska. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley H. Graver

Mr. and Mrs. Stanley H. Graver recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married July 2, 1954.

Mrs. Graver is the former Connie L. Dietz, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dietz of Lehighton. Her husband is the son of the late Reuben and Iris Graver of Lehighton.

They have four children: Stanley, and his wife, Elaine, and Ricky, and his wife Julie, all of Lehighton; Allen, and his wife Tammy, of Tamaqua; and Kerry, and his wife, Michelle, of Palmerton. They have six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Fogel

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Fogel of Lehighton recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on June 26, 1954 at Ben Salem Church in Lehighton.

Mrs. Fogel is the daughter of the late Ralph and Edna Steigerwalt. Her husband is the son of the late Harvey and Flora Fogel.

The couple has two children: Kathy, and her husband, James Henderson; and Jeffery Fogel, and his wife, Ann. They have three grandsons: James Henderson, Andy Fogel and Jesse Fogel.

A surprise party was held in their honor on June 8.

Mr. and Mrs. Truman Andrews of Franklin Township are observing their 55th wedding anniversary.

They were married on June 27, 1959, at St. Paul's Church in Big Creek by the Rev. Paul Buehrle.

Mrs. Andrews is the former Joy Young, daughter of the late Stella Ahner of Lehighton.

Mr. Andrews is the son of the late Clinton and Marguerite Andrews of Slatington.

He is retired from Bethlehem Steel.

The celebrants have three children: Wendy Bussey-Williams and Marci Warnkin of Lehighton, and Scott Andrews of Lansford.
