Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Boyle

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Boyle of Coaldale recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on Nov. 17, 1951 in SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church by the late Monsignor Nicholas Terna.

Mrs. Boyle is the former Julia Hutta, daughter of the late Paul and Mary Hutta. Mr. Boyle is the son of the late Donald and Grace Boyle. They are the parents of four children: Joseph of Bethlehem, Thomas of Tamaqua, Susan Lopata of Nesquehoning, and MaryKay Horvath of Summit Hill. They also have 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald K. Ritschel

Mr. and Mrs. Donald K. Ritschel of Andreas will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Nov. 18.

They were married in Salem United Church of Christ, Allentown, by the Rev. Charles Zweizig.

Mrs. Ritschel is the former Carol J. Hartzell, daughter of the late Penroy and Edith (Shook) Hartzell of Allentown.

Mr. Ritschel is the son of the late Joseph and Helena (Beltz) Ritschel of Trexlertown.

The Ritschels have two children, Mark D. Ritschel and Denise K., wife of Brian M. Craig.

Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Dirnberer at the Ruins of Ephesus, Turkey

Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Dirnberger of West Penn Township celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary with a cruise from Italy to Turkey. The couple was married May 3, 1986.

The two-week cruise, taken this summer, included stops in Athens and Turkey, where they spent several days touring Istanbul, Kusadasi and the Ruins of Ephesus.

They also visited the Greek Islands of Mykonos and Santorini. On the return trip, visits were made to Naples, the Ruins of Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Gyuricsek recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. They were married on Oct. 26, 1946 at St. John's Lutheran Church on South Avenue in Jim Thorpe. The Rev. Addison Planz officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Gyuricsek is the former Helen Goga, daughter of the late Max and Emma Goga of Jim Thorpe. Her husband is the son of the late Stephen and Julia Gyuricsek of Jim Thorpe.

They have three children: Karen Evans, Joe Gyuricsek and Brian Gyuricsek, all of Jim Thorpe.

They have two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kruczek

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kruczek of Summit Hill will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday.

They were married on Oct. 28, 1961 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, by the late Rev. Msgr. J. Francis Haley.

Mrs. Kruczek is the former Anna Marie Cusanelli, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Cusanelli. Mr. Kruczek is a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Kruczek.

The couple has two children, Edward, and his wife, Pam, of Coopersburg, and Deborah, wife of Robert Rohlfing of Summit Hill.

Edward and Dorothy Rummel of Tamaqua recently celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. They were married on Oct. 21, 1949.

Mr. Rummel was born and raised in Tamaqua. Mrs. Rummel is originally from Barnesville.

Mr. Rummel worked in the newspaper trade for 46 years, with 10 years at the Tamaqua Courier, six years at the Mahanoy City Record American, and 30 years at the Reading Eagle-Times in Reading.

Mrs. Rummel worked for several years at Sprite Manufacturing in Tamaqua.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Kostek of Lansford celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Oct. 13. The couple was married in the former St. Michael's Catholic Church, Lansford, by the Rev. Paul J. Lesitsky. They honeymooned in New York City.

Mrs. Kostek is the former Margaret Kozak of Lansford, daughter of the late John and Anna Kozak. She retired from the garment industry, and was last employed by the former Kiddie Kloes of Lansford.

Mr. and Mrs. Adam Holota of Coaldale recently celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.

They were married on Oct. 8, 1955 by the late Rev. John Kovacik in Lansford.

Mrs. Holota is the former Lillian Svrchek, daughter of the late Martin and Katerina Svrchek, Coaldale. Her husband is the son of the late Mike and Pearl Holota, Tuscarora.

The Holotas have four sons: Michael and Marty of Seattle, Washington; Mark of Tucson, Ariz.; and Richard of Coaldale.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Klotz Sr. of Lehighton celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary recently. They were married on Sept. 28, 1963 by the late Rev. Engle.

Mrs. Klotz is the former Mary Ann Labenburg, daughter of the late Gordon Angstead and the late Ellen Angstead. She is employed by the TIMES NEWS in Lehighton.

Mr. Klotz is the son of Blaine Klotz Sr., a resident at the Mahoning Valley Convalescent Home and the late Norma Klotz. He was self-employed as the owner at the former B&B Automotive Supply in Lehighton. He is now retired.

Mr. and Mrs. James W. Beers of Schnecksville are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.

They were married Oct. 7, 1961 at St. Peter's Church, Mantzville, by the Rev. Arthur Klinetop.

Mrs. Beers is the former Carol L. Frey, daughter of Helen and Ralph Frey, Lehighton. Her husband is the son of the late Stanford and Eurena Beers, Palmerton.

They have three children: Sherry Penrod, Orefield; Sheila Nagle, New Tripoli; and Jeff Beers, Fogelsville; and six grandchildren: Brianna and Brooke Penrod, Brad and Trisha Nagle, and Camryn and Nicholas Beers.
