Joshua R. Bentley and Janine M. Brunner

Michael and Janet Brunner of Slatington have announced the engagement of their daughter, Janine Marissa Brunner, to Joshua Ryan Bentley, son of John Bentley of Manheim and Patty Bentley of York.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Northern Lehigh High School and Bloomsburg University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in business administration.

She currently works for Buckeye Partners.

The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Manheim Central High School.

A daughter, Alana Marie Edmonds, was born at 6:20 p.m. May 10, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital in Allentown to Jeanine and Lance Edmonds of Tamaqua.

She weighed 6 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 19.5 inches.

Maternal grandparents are Patricia Burdick of Lansford and Eugene Burdick of Tamaqua.

Paternal grandparents are Archie and Janice Edmonds of Tamaqua.

Aubrey Mae Green

A daughter, Aubrey Mae Green, was born at 12:46 p.m. May 29, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital to Kera DeAngelo and Christopher Green Jr. of Lansford.

She weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and measured 18.5 inches long.

She was welcomed home by an older sibling, Miley Green, who is 4.

Maternal grandfather is Peter DeAngelo of Tamaqua.

Paternal grandparents are Christopher Green Sr. of Lehighton and Michelle and David Kromer of Andreas.

Clayton David Smith

SMITH A son, Clayton David Smith, was born at 9:04 a.m. on May 3, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Health Network, to Vanessa and Jeremy Smith of Lehighton.

He weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 19 1/2 inches long.

Clayton was welcomed home by his brother, Wyatt, 6, and his sister, Kailyn, 3.

Maternal grandparents are Linda and Marty Klotz of Lehighton.

Paternal grandparents are Cindy and David Smith of Lehighton.

Lt. Col. Christopher M. Kurinec  and Kelly L. Hurley

Kelly Lynn Hurley, daughter of Kathleen and Clifford Hurley of Jim Thorpe, is engaged to be married to Lt. Col. Christopher Michael Kurinec of Newport News, Virginia.

Lt. Col. Kurinec is the son of the late Col. Ronald Kurinec of Jim Thorpe, and the late Katherine Kurinec of Texas.

The bride-to-be has a diploma from Northampton Community College in dental assisting.

She also attended Kutztown University.

She is employed as a paraprofessional in the Jim Thorpe Area School District.

Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Muffley

Maryann and Melvin Muffley of Lehighton recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married May 16, 1964, by the Rev. Daniel Shook, pastor, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Bowmanstown.

Mrs. Muffley is the daughter of the late John and Stella Behler of Bowmanstown. Her husband is the son of the late Stewart and Arvilla Muffley of Lehighton.

The couple has three children: Rhonda, wife of John Rupell of Lehighton; Malinda, wife of Kyle Eckman of Lehighton; and Kimberly, wife of Matthew Williams of Walnutport.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bollinger

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bollinger of Palmerton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married on June 6, 1964, at Zion United Church of Christ in Lehighton by the Rev. Alton Leister.

Mrs. Bollinger was the former Eileen DeReamer, daughter of the late Robert and Pauline DeReamer of Lehighton.

Mr. Bollinger is the son of the late Richard and Alverta Bollinger of Palmerton.

The couple has two children: Randy Bollinger and his wife, Amiee, of Palmerton. Brian Bollinger and his wife, Stephanie, also of Palmerton.
