Dan Wechsler and Jenna Kuder

The engagement of Jenna Kuder to Dan Wechsler has been announced by their parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Russell and Susan Kuder of Lehighton. She is a 2006 graduate of Mansfield University. She is employed as a manager at Claire's.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Ken and Liz Wechsler of Coplay. He is a graduate of Temple University and the University of Dayton School of Law. He is employed by Amato and Associates.

A wedding is being planned for April 2012.

Anna Kitchko

Anna Kitchko a resident at Weatherwood, formerly of Nesquehoning, celebrated her 95th birthday on July 11.

She is the widow of Samuel Kitchko who passed away in 1965. She has a daughter, Judith, of Nesquehoning, and a son, Sam, who also resides in Nesquehoning with his wife Michele. Anna has two grandchildren: Michael of Feasterville, and Samantha, wife of Nino Logan of Virginia Beach, Va. and a great grandson Xander Logan.

A family celebration was held in her honor at the pavilion at Weatherwood.

Owen Stephen Ruch

RUCH A son, Owen Stephen Ruch, was born at 1:28 p.m. on April 21, 2010 at St. Luke's, Allentown, to Lyndsey Kunkel and Matthew Ruch of New Ringgold.

He weighed 8 pounds and measured 21.5 inches.

Maternal grandparents are Renee Kunkel, Tamaqua, and the late Stephen Kunkel.

Paternal grandparents are Carl and Charlene Ruch of New Ringgold.

Maternal great-grandparents are Donald and Diana Kunkel of Tamaqua and Marie Mistal of Tamaqua.

Owen was baptized at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tamaqua on June 13.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Snyder if 313 E. Broad St., Tamaqua, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on July 29.

They were married in Zion Lutheran Church, Tamaqua, by the late Rev. Charles Schlitzer.

Mrs. Snyder is the former Joan Schlosser. Prior to retiring, she had been employed by the Borough of Tamaqua, for 25 years, as the borough secretary.

Her husband is a disabled veteran with more than 16 years of service with the U.S. Army. He is retired from the former Diversified Metals Corporation, Hometown, where he had been employed as plant superintendent.

Gabriel Robert Clayton Brown

BROWN A son, Gabriel Robert Clayton Brown, was born at 3:23 p.m. on June 18, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Hospital to Amy Sue Frohnheiser-Brown and Robert Willard Brown of Lehighton.

He weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces aand measured 20 1/2 inches long.

He was welcomed home by his big sister, Lillian Brown, 8.

Maternal grandparents are Clayton and Brenda Frohnheiser, Palmerton.

Paternal grandparents are Robert and the late Kay Brown, Lehighton.

Mr. and Mrs. John Nickerson

Pamela Houtz and John Nickerson were united in marriage on June 12, 2010 at the Palmerton Borough Park.

District Judge Bruce Appleton officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Paul and Perma Berger, of Palmerton. Given in marriage by her mother, she chose Cindy Berger to serve as maid of honor and Peggy Feinhour-Stoss to serve as matron of honor.

The bridegroom is the son of the late John H. Nickerson and the late Patsy Tully. He chose Brian LeBar and Larry "Dinker" Smith to serve as best men.

The parents of Megan Stalosky of Summit Hill, and Jason Stewart of Weatherly, have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stalosky of Summit Hill. She is a 2006 graduate of Panther Valley High School and a 2010 graduate of Fortis Institute as a medical assistant tech. She is employed by Penn Medical Group in Weissport and also by Redner's Markets.
