The time to make your reservations for the fourth One-Room Elementary School Reunion in Franklin Township has been extended.

The reunion will be held Sept. 27 at the Franklin Township Fire Company.

Anyone who attended any of the following elementary schools is invited to attend the reunion: Long Run, Walcksville, Big Creek, Indian Hill, Harrity and Wagner schools. If you are planning to attend, please mail in your reservations.

Mr. and Mrs. James Wentz

Mr. and Mrs. James Wentz of Lehighton are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.

They were married in Zion United Church of Christ on Aug. 28, 1954, by the Rev. Alton Leister.

Mrs. Wentz is the former Shirley Hill, daughter of the late Robert and Geraldine Clay Hill of Lehighton. Mr. Wentz is the son of the late William and Beatrice Shellhammer Wentz of Parryville.

They have four children: Garry, Gregory and Scott, who is married to Patricia, all of Parryville, and Sherryl Armbruster of Lehighton.

They have six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The parents of Sarah E. Welsh of Hoboken, New Jersey, and Joshua R. Donohue of Jersey City, New Jersey, have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Janet V. and David S. Welsh of Lansdale. A graduate of North Penn High School and Susquehanna University, she is employed as the regional educational executive at L'Oreal in New York City.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mary Ellen Donohue of Lake Hauto and the late Ricky H. Donohue, and the grandson of Beryl and Charles "Brum" Donohue of Tamaqua.

Announcement has been made of the engagement of Eileen Gurcsik of Allentown and Joseph Pinkey of Tamaqua.

The bride-elect is the daughter of John and Mary Gurcsik of Tamaqua. She earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Kutztown University, and is currently pursuing a master's degree in business administration from DeSales University.

She is employed as a customer service lead for ULINE in Breinigsville.

Camryn Layne Gillespie

A daughter, Camryn Layne Gillespie, was born at 8:54 a.m. on May 14, 2014, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest in Allentown to Loren and Patrick Gillespie of Jim Thorpe.

She was 8 pounds, 13 ounces and measured 21 inches long.

Camryn was welcomed home by an older sister, Logan, who is 3.

Maternal grandparents are Clifford and Kathleen Hurley of Jim Thorpe. Maternal great-grandmother is Evelyn McGavin.

The Cork Factory in Lancaster was the setting for the April 12, 2014, wedding of April Leona Gosnell, daughter of Glenn and Debra Gosnell of Clarksville, Ohio, and David William DeLay, son of David J. and Linda Rae DeLay of Tamaqua.

The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Theresa Gilberti.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by maid of honor Kaitlin Brandesky of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Bridesmaids included the bride's cousins, Tory Gosnell of King of Prussia and Jessica Welsh of Honey Brook, and Whitney Shindorf of Toledo, Ohio.
