Mr. and Mrs. Edward Eggert

Edward and Connie Eggert of Albrightsville are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Friday.

They were married on April 29, 1961 at St. Dominic's Church in Philadelphia.

The Eggerts have three children: Jackie and Tom Harrison of Levittown, Pa.; Judy and Fernando Velezquez of Bristol, Pa.; and Edward and Tara Eggert of Jim Thorpe.

They also have seven grandchildren.

The couple recently traveled to North Carolina in honor of this special occasion.

Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Ohlsen

Becca Schmoyer, daughter of John and Karen Schmoyer of Wyomissing, Pa., and Matthew Ohlsen, son of Dave and Cindy Henritzy, Lehighton, and the late John Ohlsen, were united in marriage on Dec. 26, 2010 at the home of his parents.

The Rev. Ellyn Kravette, Brodheadsville, officiated the double ring ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at the bridegroom's parents' home, attended by immediate family and friends.

The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico.

Cole S. Shemansik and Duke S. Shemansik

Twin sons were born on Jan. 30, 2011 in Raleigh, N.C. to Cheryl Skasko-Shemansik and Jason Shemansik, of Knightdale, N.C. The new parents are both originally from Summit Hill.

Cole Skasko Shemansik was born at 2:29 p.m. He weighed 5 pounds, 9 ounces and measured 19 inches long.

Duke Skasko Shemansik was born at 2:30 p.m. He weighed 4 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 18 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Darlene and the late Richard Skasko of Tamaqua.

Paternal grandparents are John and Fran Shemansik of Summit Hill.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Andrew (Arty) Kokinda and Sonya Kokinda, both of Summit Hill. She is a 1998 graduate of Panther Valley High School.

A graduate of McCann School of Business & Technology, she is employed as a project manager at Sodexo, Allentown.

Natalie Alexandra Harris

Natalie Alexandra Harris was born April 1, 2011 to Heather Ann Harris of Mahanoy City. The new arrival was born at 8:15 a.m. in the Schuylkill Medical Center South, Pottsville.

She weighed in at 6 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 17 and 1/2 inches long.

She was welcomed home by her big brothers: Nicholas and Jason, both 6; and Seth, 5.

Maternal grandparents are Darrell Harris of Grier City and Christine Harris of Quakake. Great grandparents are Bob and Dolly Shirey of Barnesville.

The engagement of Debra J. Kehrli, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Solomon, Jim Thorpe, to James J. Evans Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. James Evans, Nesquehoning, has been announced by their parents and the bride-to-be's daughter, Bryanna Kehrli.

The bride-to-be is a 1991 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School. She is employed at the Hometown Nursing Home.

The prospective bridegroom is a 1988 graduate of Panther Valley High School and a 2001 graduate of Johnson College. He is employed at Kovatch Corp. as a machinist.
