The 63rd annual Eck reunion will take place at the Emmaus Community Park, 1401 Shimerville Road, Emmaus in the rotary pavilion on Aug. 7.

Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. Please bring a covered dish or dessert for the community table, a cake for the cake walk and a prize for the raffle table. A business meeting will be held at 1:30 p.m. There will be games for the children.

Cecelia Noelle Cain

A daughter, Cecelia Noelle Cain, was born to Erin (Day) and Harold Cain III of Larksville, at 10:28 a.m., April 14, 2011. Born in Allentown, she weighed 9 pounds, 7.5 ounces and was 22 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Lester Day and Kathy Charles of Allentown and Barbara and John Shupp of Palmerton. Maternal great-grandparents are Plair and Carolyn Koch and Dawn Day and the late Lawrence Day, all of Lehighton.

Beatrice Burbes

Beatrice Burbes, a resident of Hometown Nursing Home and formerly of Lehighton will celebrate her 99th birthday on July 17.

She is the widow of Lewis Burbes, who passed away in 1979.

She is the mother of two sons: Bruce Fritzinger, who resides in Lehighton with his wife, Charlotte, and Elmer Fritzinger, who passed away 10 years ago.

A dinner is planned in her honor.

Mr. and Mrs. Truman Andrews of Franklin Township, recently observed their 52nd wedding anniversary on June 27. The Rev. Paul Buehrle married the couple at St. Paul's Church, Big Creek.

Mrs. Andrews is the former Joy Ann Young, daughter of the late Stella Ahner of Lehighton.

Mr. Andrews is the son of the late Clinton and Marguerite Andrews of Slatington and is retired from Bethlehem Steel.

The celebrants have three children: Wendy Jo Bussey-Williams, Scott Alan Andrews and Marci Ann Warnkin, all of Lehighton.

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Sensinger  on their wedding day

Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Sensinger of Lehighton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary recently. The couple was married on June 24, 1961, at Episcopal Church, Lehighton, by the Rev. Wyatt.

Mrs. Sensinger is the former Anneliese Leyrer, daughter of the late Wilhelm and Babette Leyrer of Rothenburg, Germany.

Mr. Sensinger is the son of the late Walker and Nomia Sensinger of Lehighton.

They have three children, Timothy Sensinger of Palmerton; and Darvin and Shari Sensinger, both of Nesquehoning; as well as three grandchildren, Alex, Tatum, and Cameron Sensinger.

Gabrielle Anna Feller

Victoria and Matthew Feller of Lehighton, welcomed a new addition to their family on March 18, 2011. Gabrielle Anna Feller was born in Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest, Allentown, weighing in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces. She was 21.75 inches long.

Gabrielle has an older sister, Alexandra.

Maternal grandparents are Michael and Teresa Krall, Blandon, Pa.

Paternal grandparents are Michael and Claudia Feller, Lehighton.

Brianna Cooney and Adam Boyce

Announcement has been made of the engagement of Brianna Cooney of Tamaqua, to Adam Boyce, of Jefferson Township, N.J.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Thomas Cooney of Tamaqua and Patricia Kaschak of Sheppton.

She is a 2004 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School and a 2009 graduate of Pennsylvania College of Technology, where she earned a bachelor's degree in graphic design. She currently works as a freelance graphic designer.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Thomas and Peggy Boyce of Barnegat, N.J.
