Mr. and Mrs. Paul Vegetabile

Elizabeth Jane Rodriguez of Hamburg, daughter of Juan and Valerie Rodriguez of Kunkletown, and Paul Lorenzo Vegetabile, also of Hamburg, were united in marriage on April 12, 2014, at the Middlecreek Christian Church in Kresgeville.

The Rev. Steven Boothe, pastor, officiated the double ring ceremony. Ruth Ann Harvey was the pianist and Emily Alvin was thevocalist.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose Angela Rodriguez of Kunkletown to be her maid of honor.

The bridegroom chose Michael Yacone of Palmerton as his best man.

Sarah E. Welsh and Joshua R. Donohue

The parents of Sarah E. Welsh of Hoboken, New Jersey, and Joshua R. Donohue of Jersey City, New Jersey, have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Janet V. and David S. Welsh of Lansdale. A graduate of North Penn High School and Susquehanna University, she is employed as the regional educational executive at L'Oreal in New York City.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Mary Ellen Donohue of Lake Hauto and the late Ricky H. Donohue, and the grandson of Beryl and Charles "Brum" Donohue of Tamaqua.

Rita Aniszewski

Rita (Neglia) Aniszewski, a resident at Heritage Hill Senior Community, Weatherly, is celebrating her 91st birthday.

Born in Harlem, New York, on Aug. 1, 1923, she is the youngest sister of eight siblings.

Rita was married to Anthony Aniszewski for 45 years until his death in 1993. They both enjoyed world and U.S. travel.

Rita has two daughters: Rose Cava of Jim Thorpe, and Rita, who passed away in August 1999.

She has two granddaughters, one lives in Jim Thorpe, and the other in South Carolina, along with her two great-granddaughters.

The Slatington High School Class of 1952 held its 62-year reunion Sept. 27 at the Emerald Fire Company. The following 27 classmates attended. Alexa Emery Becker

A daughter, Alexa Emery Becker, was born at 9:46 a.m. Sept. 12, 2014, at St. Luke's University Hospital, Bethlehem, to Stefanie and Michael Becker Jr. of Palmerton.

She weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces, and measured 20 inches long.

She was welcomed home by an older brother, Colin Micah, who is 3 years old.

Maternal grandparents are Lois and Lewis Markley of Bowmanstown.

Paternal grandparents are Michael and Maryann Becker of Lansford.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Klotz Sr.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Klotz Sr. of Lehighton recently celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary. They were married Sept. 28, 1963, by the late Rev. Engle.

Mrs. Klotz is the former Mary Ann Labenburg, daughter of the late Gordon Angstead and the late Ellen Angstead. She is employed by the Times News in Lehighton.

Mr. Klotz is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Klotz Sr. He was self-employed as the owner at the former B&B Automotive Supply in Lehighton. He is now retired.
