Basket auction, food truck supports Lehighton Fire Dept.

Saturday and Sunday were the days to help support the Lehighton Fire Department, as they held a Basket Auction & Food Truck event at the Lehighton Recreation Center, 8th Street, Lehighton.

Over 80 baskets were available. Some of the prizes included a wading pool with pool toys, a basket of Reese’s Candy products, a wine basket from Radical Wine, Barbie toys, Matchbox & Hot Wheels die cast cars, a child’s bicycle, Keurig coffee maker, a mystery box, and over 30 gift cards.

There were three special side-raffles; a Blackstone gas grill, a cooler with 10 bottles of wine and several cases of beer; and a 5-piece set of patio furniture.

In addition to the basket auction, food vendors were on hand; Grill Life Barbecue of Orefield was there Saturday, and Happy Tummy Concessions of Lehighton was there Sunday.
