Are you a swinger? Well I have become one. I'm referring to the price of gas changing every other day.
What exactly is that all about? Are they trying to swing themselves silly while making us dizzy, or are they trying to keep copper pennies flowing, or is it a way to lose them?
I no longer put $10, $15, or $20 of gas in my car. I'll put in $11.68. Why not!
Health care. I am one of 40 plus million that does not have insurance.
If you took away the health insurance from every politician, insurance THAT WE PAY FOR!!! not one dime comes out of their pocket. You would see how fast they would put a plan together.
They don't care about us. They are in office for one reason only. Easy street. Everything paid for by us and they make big money.
Keith McCall is retiring at 52 and $90,000 a year plus health care. Not bad.
To everyone at JTAMS Productions, the Mauch Chunk Opera House, Soundtrack Records, the Broadway House and to all the friends and fans of Jim Thorpe, not to mention those of you who came from farther away and turned out to see us on Saturday March 6th we'd like to say a hearty thanks!!!
We had a fantastic time in your charming town, first meeting and greeting new and returning fans at Soundtrack in their new location at 24 Broadway in the afternoon, then later in the evening after the show at the Mauch Chunk Opera House.
On behalf of myself, my daughter Jess Kutza, and the American Cancer Society Telethon Committee, I extend deepest gratitude to everyone who supported our Annual ACS Chinese Auction held in the Lakeside Ballroom on Sunday, March 7th.
This year's total of over 600 donations, hundreds of attendees and amazing proceeds would have never been possible without YOU, our supportive friends and businesses.
Spring is a time when the weather begins to change, the air begins to warm and spring breezes begin to dry the dead vegetation and other debris left from the previous fall and winter. The heavy winter snow cover is rapidly disappearing and the temperatures are beginning to rise. Homeowners and others are anxious to tidy-up their lawns and properties that were impacted by this past winter's wrath. Many people dispose of the debris that has accumulated during the winter by burning. They are unaware of the risks to life and property that their actions may have.
Didn't you swear an oath to uphold the Constitution for the people, by the people? Last I checked it did NOT read for the corporations by the corporations.
I think you know the only way to save this economy is to open Medicare for all, charge the necessary premiums, which will be or less of what people are paying now, and allow people who can afford more to buy private insurance on top of that.
The stimulus package has arrived in Rush Township. Well, almost, that is if you live outside the township. Our new road foreman, from Carbon County, received a $2 per hour raise, while a long time township worker received 25 cents per hour. The township had a great secretary who did an excellent job. She was replaced with a new secretary who resides in West Penn Township, with quite a substantial increase in salary to the previous secretary.
