Indians, Bombers get soccer victories

The Lehighton boys and Palmerton girls soccer teams earned victories Saturday.

The Bears finished 1-2-1 in pool play. Pleasant Valley defeated Saucon Valley (25-20, 25-15), but fell to Mount Olive (25-20, 25-21) and Northampton (25-19, 25-14). The Bears split with Blue Mountain (20-25, 25-20).Cameron Caffrey had 38 assists, 20 digs, three aces and three kills for Pleasant Valley. Des Powell recorded 22 digs and 14 kills, and Renee Mapa finished with 20 kills and nine blocks.
