A Lehigh County driver fled the scene of a one-vehicle crash and is facing multiple charges.

State police at Fogelsville said Richard M. Williams, 26, of New Tripoli, was operating a 2014 Jeep Compass at 12:46 a.m. on April 29 along Madison Street in Lynn Township, southbound, when he failed to negotiate a right curve. The Compass crossed the centerline, entered the northbound lane and traveled onto the east berm. The Compass then impacted a utility support pole which caused the vehicle to overturn and come to rest on its roof.Williams then fled the scene on foot but was later located. He has been charged with numerous traffic violations as well asaccidents involving damage to unattended vehicle or property and immediate notice of accident to police.
