Dear Editor,

I am an independent associate of Stream Energy.Recently, Carbon County advertised for bids to supply electricity. I began the process of preparing a bid early February. I requested the most recent county PPL invoices so I could submit a bid.Being referred to Ingram Engineering, I contacted them and received a response that asked me for more information on our company. Our commercial department tried on several occasions to contact Ingram with no success.Early March a newspaper article appeared that bids would be accepted March 9 and must be submitted online. As of March 8, after several attempts, I still had not received the information needed from Ingram. I contacted the commissioners because I needed the KW Usage data alone with the online address as Ingram had not responded. The commissioners' office sent an email to Ingram requesting immediate attention to the matter. With still no response, I went to the commissioners' meeting on the 9th and explained the situation.I asked them to table the bids one week so I could have the opportunity to submit a bid. Ingram told them they did not receive a bid from me. My request was denied. (Of course they did not receive a bid as I did not receive the information needed from Ingram that would allow Stream to submit a bid).I feel that an injustice was served to our county commissioners and taxpayers because of Ingram's failure to supply the information Stream needed. This lack of responsiveness may have cost our county and taxpayers a significant amount in savings. I hope that our commissioners follow up on this and take whatever action necessary to ensure that this will not happen in the future with other services.Sincerely,Stream Energy Independent AssociateMichael A.
