The Lehighton mayor has lifted the snow emergency at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Snow removal will take place on First Street on Wednesday along with North and South streets on the park side.

Please watch for the Orange No Parking Signs for snow removal. Vehicles left in areas posted "No Parking" will be ticketed/towed.

We ask the public to refrain from throwing snow into the street.

Sidewalks should be cleared within 48 hours of the storm.

The borough asks for cooperation as the Public Works Department do their jobs.

In Lansford, Chief Jack Soberick said there will be no curb to curb plowing in Lansford due to the high volume of snow.(impossible to push this much snow back.

The parking ban is lifted on Patterson, but continues for Water, Kline, Snyder and Front.

Those small streets will be cleared starting Thursday. Then the ban will be lifted. Right now, as always, we have to make streets open for emergency vehicles.
