Hannah Hill, master at arms, 18, of Lansford, graduated from boot camp at the Navy's Recruit Training Command located in Great Lakes, Illinois, on Sept. 30.

While in training, Hill learned many valuable skills to become a sailor.Upon graduation, she reported to San Antonio, Texas, where she participated in school to become specialized in protection as a master at arms.Hannah was assigned to the Naval Base in Souda Bay, Greece, where she will be stationed until January 2018.She is the daughter of Robyn Hill of Lansford and the late James T. Hill. She is the granddaughter of Mae Fredericks and the late Howie Fredericks, as well as Elaine "Booty" Hill and the late John Hill, all of Lansford.Hannah has many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from the Panther Valley area.She is a 2016 graduate of Panther Valley High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society and served as senior class prom queen.During her four years at Panther Valley, Hannah participated in many extracurricular activities and worked for Whitewater Rafting Adventures, Nesquehoning, as a river guide.
