Two facing drug charges

A man and a woman are facing charges after police found they were distributing drugs in Nesquehoning.

Frank J. Sanders, 49, of West Ridge Street, Coaldale; and Brandice Boner, 36, of West Catawissa Street, Nesquehoning, are facing multiple drug-related charges following a three-month investigation into drugs being distributed from Boner’s residence.According to the affidavits, filed by Nesquehoning Police officer Timothy Wuttke, the investigation started after police were notified that there was a lot of foot traffic coming to the Boner residence.It was suspected that Boner was distributing large quantities of heroin at the time.On the morning of Feb. 16, police executed a search warrant and detained two females, one identified as Boner, and found 18 bags of heroin and a wristlet.Boner admitted selling heroin for Sanders out of her home.She then made arrangements with Sanders to purchase three additional bundles of heroin later that day.That same day, police met with a source who claimed they purchased heroin from Sanders.A meeting with Sanders was set up to purchase $200 worth of heroin and Sanders agreed to meet the person in Nesquehoning later that day.At 1:15 p.m., Sanders arrived and was taken into custody. A search found 30 blue bags stamped “New fun style,” $84 in cash and a cell phone.Boner faces charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance; possession of drug paraphernalia; criminal conspiracy; possession with the intent to deliver; and criminal use of a communication facility.Sanders faces charges of possession with the intent to deliver; criminal use of a communication facility; and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.He was arraigned before District Judge Casimir T. Kosciolek and his case has been transferred over to the Court of Common Pleas. He is currently in the Carbon County Correctional Facility after being unable to post the $75,000 bail that was set.

Sanders
