No one was hurt in a one-vehicle crash at 12:58 p.m. July 12 on Interchange Road in Polk Township.
State police at the Lehighton barracks said the driver, John M. Mika, 34, of Lehighton, was northbound in the area of 1146 Interchange Road when the 1999 Dodge Ram truck he was driving traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole and a PennDOT road sign, traveling back onto the roadway, crossing the southbound lane and coming to rest on the shoulder of the southbound lane, about 30 feet from the initial impact.The vehicle needed to be towed from the scene.Mika and his three passengers were unhurt.He was cited for the incident.
