Tamaqua district court

Three people failed to appear for preliminary hearings in the court of District Judge Stephen Bayer on June 18, and are all subject to now having warrants issued for their arrests.

Frank Galluccio III

, 31, of Tamaqua, failed to appear in court on charges of retail theft and receiving stolen property. The charges are from a May 3 incident and were filed by Rush Township Police.

A bench warrant was filed for Galluccio’s arrest.

Gregory Matthew Shafer

, 24, of Drums, failed to show up for court on charges of driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license. Charges were filed by patrolman William Curilla. A warrant was filed for his arrest.

Cristian Zamudio

, 18, of Hazleton failed to show up for court on charges of corruption of minors, simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment, trespassing and conspiracy. The incident took place on June 18 and charges were filed by patrolman Curilla of McAdoo. A bench warrant was filed for his arrest.

Kirstin Reed

, 24, of Tamaqua, waived her hearing on charges of criminal mischief. The charges stem from a March 18 incident and were filed by Tamaqua police. She was released on her own recognizance.

Malayasia Juan Whitaker

, 44, of Quakake, waived her hearing on charges of simple assault, endangering welfare of children and harassment. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on June 4 and were filed by Rush Township Police. She was released on $7,500 unsecured bail.

Melysa Nicole Augustine

, 28, of Berwick, waived her hearing on charges of retail theft and receiving stolen property, stemming from a March 18 incident. Charges were filed by Tamaqua police. She was released on her own recognizance.

Linda Kester

, 67, of McAdoo, waived her hearing on charges of driving under the influence and disregard traffic lane, stemming from a May 1 incident. Charges were filed by patrolman Curilla. Kester was released on her own recognizance.

Jonathan Michael Burget

, 41, of McAdoo waived his hearing on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, stemming from a June 5 incident. Charges of simple assault and harassment were withdrawn. Charges were filed by McAdoo patrolman Frederick Lahovski. Burget’s bail was changed to $5,000 unsecured.

Charles William Nase

, 22, of Summit Hill, waived his hearing on charges of resisting arrest, criminal mischief and public drunkenness and similar misconduct. The incident took place on May 25 and charges were filed by Tamaqua Police. His bail was reduced from $10,000 cash to $1,000 percentage, which he was unable to post.

Justin Allen Christopher Nodes

, 35, of McAdoo, waived his hearing on charges of assault, recklessly endangering another person, false imprisonment and harassment, stemming form a May 1 incident. Strangulation charges were withdrawn, while all charges were filed by McAdoo patrolman Jeffrey Wainwright. Bail was reduced from $50,000 to $500.

Wilmer Basilio

, 23, of McAdoo waived his hearing on charges of driving under the influence. Charges were filed by officer Curilla, stemming from the May 1 incident. He as released on his own recognizance.

Vincent T. Grego

, 74, of McAdoo waived his hearing on charges of driving under the influence, stemming from an April 10 incident. Charges were filed by officer Cirulla, and Grego was released on his own recognizance.
