Panther Valley's Tanner Kennedy capped his Schuylkill League Wrestling Tournament with a gold medal Saturday afternoon.

The junior topped Lehighton's Cody Scherer 4-3 in the 152-pound final at Jim Thorpe Area High School.

Tamaqua's Tanner McHugh dropped an 11-3 major decision to Tri-Valley's Sammy Hepler in the 138-pound final. The win gave Hepler his fourth league crown.

A total of 17 area wrestlers medaled at the annual all-league event.
