A Lansford man admitted illegally entering a Lansford home and falling asleep on a couch. He blamed a long-term drug addiction problem for his actions.

Matika to plead to one count of defiant trespass.Zettlemoyer admitted entering a residencein the 200 block of West Front Street on Nov. 2, 2016. He told the court he woke up asleep in nearby woods, saw a light at the home and went inside to get warm. He fell asleep on a couch in the residence where the homeowner found him. He said he was in the woods because he had used illegal substances and admitted to a serious drug addiction problem. He told the court, "I want to get it out of my life. I lost my house, kids, anything. I just want to get out (of drug use)."Matika said the only way Zettlemoyer will get help is in an inpatient, long-term rehab program. Zettlemoyer is currently an inmate in the county prison.Matika sentenced him to time served (77 days) to one year in jail and ordered he render 50 hours of community service, get a drug and alcohol evaluation, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and have no contact with the victim.
