Fern Ridge State Police Crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported on three crashes investigated by troopers recently.

• A two-vehicle crash was reported at 5:30 p.m. on June 30 along Interstate 80 in White Haven, Carbon County. Troopers said Anthony M. Galle, 48, of Hampton, New Jersey, and Timothy M. Olimpo, 26, of Coopersburg, Lehigh County, were westbound and both began exiting at Exit 273 (White Haven-Freeland exit). As Olimpo came to a complete stop on the exit ramp for traffic stopped ahead of him his 1994 Ford Ranger pickup truck was struck in the rear by Galle's 2015 Honda Civic. No one was injured.Troopers cited Galle for careless driving.• A one-vehicle crash occurred at 9:56 p.m. on July 2 along State Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Trooper said Jane M. Walrond, 43, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2006 Toyota Rav 4 eastbound when she failed to negotiate a left curve, went onto the berm and collided into a tree.Walrond was not injured.• Troopers investigated a one-vehicle crash on Tuesday at 1:01 p.m. along Jonas Road in Chestnuthill Township. Thomas W. Prutzman, 75, of Albrightsville, was driving a 1995 Yamaha motorcycle when he crashed, troopers said. Prutzman was injured and taken by West End ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital - Credar Crest.
