Fleeing motorcyclist caught, jailed

A fleeing Monroe County motorcyclist was caught and jailed on Tuesday.

State police at Lehighton said troopers attempted to perform a traffic stop of a white Kawasaki Ninja cycle along Long Mountain Road in Polk Township at 11:50 a.m. The motorcyclist fled the scene and a pursuit ensued. The chase ended when the motorcyclist lost control of the bike and crashed at the intersection of Long Mountain Road and Pheasant Run Road. There were no injuries.The driver was identified as James Patrick Holler, 22, no address given. He was charged with fleeing and eluding and related counts, arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Snydersville in lieu of $10,000 bail.
