The Tamaqua Rotary and Chamber of Commerce will host a presentation by Democratic candidate for Schuylkill County district attorney Mike O'Pake at 8

a.m.Wednesday in Trinity UCC's Founder Hall.O'Pake is a 1981 graduate of Marian High School. He graduated from Dickinson College in 1985 and Dickinson School of Law in 1988.He served as a part-time assistant attorney under Schuylkill County DA Claude A. Lord Shields beginning in 1992. He left the DA's office in 2013 and became a public defender in 2014.O'Pake has been asked to address issues relating to the national opioid crisis and Schuylkill County's response to it.The Rotary and chamber previously hosted a presentation by current Schuylkill DA Republican Christine Holman.Trinity UCC is at 22 Lafayette St. in Tamaqua. Founders Hall is on the lower level. Parking is available.
