Tibor and Helen Torok of Lehighton are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary

The Toroks exchanged vows on July 4, 1967, in Yonkers, New York. Albert E. Gleeson, justice of the peace, officiated the ceremony.Mrs. Torok is the daughter of the late Walter and Alma Odum of Savannah, Georgia. Her mother, who celebrated her 100th birthday in March, passed away July 30.Mr. Torok is originally from Budapest, Hungary.The Toroks are the parents of three children: Derek Tibor Torok, and his wife Kelly, of Easton; Marika Torok Briggs, and her husband Caleb, of Waycross, Georgia; and the late Andrea L. Foster, who passed away five years ago from complications of diabetes.They have eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.The Toroks will celebrate their anniversary during a family reunion in Savannah.
